| In this paper, the present situation of environment and health monitoring were expounded, and its basic principles and technical regulations were analyzed according to the achievements and experiences in environment and health survey in a typical region of Jiangsu province. The environment and health monitoring include pollutant emission, environmental quality, external exposure, internal exposure and health effects. The monitoring techniques and demands of the former three items, which were in the responsibility of environmental protection department, were discussed. |
