We present and discuss the results of a comprehensive study addressing the non-aerated region of the skimming flow in steep stepped spillways. Although flows in stepped spillways are usually characterized by high air concentrations concomitant with high rates of energy dissipation, the non-aerated region becomes important in small dams and/or spillways with high specific discharges. A relatively large physical model of such spillway was used to acquire data on flow velocities and water levels and, then, well-resolved numerical simulations were performed with a commercial code to reproduce those experimental conditions. The numerical runs benefited from the ability of using multi-block grids in a Cartesian coordinate system, from capturing the free surface with the TruVOF method embedded in the code, and from the use of two turbulence models: the k-e{k{-}\varepsilon} and the RNGk-e{k{-}\varepsilon} models. Numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental data corresponding to three volumetric flow rates in terms of the time-averaged velocities measured at diverse steps in the spillway, and they are in very satisfactory agreement for water levels along the spillway. In addition, the numerical results provide information on the turbulence statistics of the flow. This work also discusses important aspects of the flow, such as the values of the exponents of the power-law velocity profiles, and the characteristics of the development of the boundary layer in the spillway.  相似文献

The hydrodynamic circulation is analyzed in the coastal lagoon of Stagnone di Marsala, a natural reserve located in the north-western part of Sicily, using both experimental measurements and numerical simulations. Field measurements of velocities and water levels, carried out using an ultrasound sensor (3D), are used to validate the numerical model. A 3D finite-volume model is used to solve the Reynolds-averaged momentum and mass balance differential equations on a curvilinear structured grid, employing the k–e{\varepsilon} turbulence model for the Reynolds stresses. The numerical analysis allows to identify the relative contribution of the forces affecting the hydrodynamic circulation inside the lagoon. In the simulations only wind and tide forces are considered, neglecting the effects of water density changes. Two different conditions are considered. In the first both the wind stress over the free-surface and the tidal motion are imposed. In the second the wind action is neglected, to separately analyze the tide-induced circulation. The comparison between the two test cases highlights the fundamental role of the wind on the hydrodynamics of the Stagnone lagoon, producing a strong vertical recirculation pattern that is not observed when the flow is driven by tides only.  相似文献

Turbulence closures are fundamental for modelling the atmospheric diffusion in numerical codes and the resulting eddy diffusivities are key parameters in describing the transport and dispersion in the boundary layer. In this work, four turbulence closure schemes have been applied for reproducing a neutral flow over schematic complex terrain using the meteorological model RAMS. Two of the closures, a one-equation (E-l) and a two-equations (E-) model, have been implemented in RAMS in alternative to the ones originally available. In these cases, an analytical method based on the similarity theory for the atmospheric surface layer and boundary layer is adopted to calculate the empirical constants of the turbulence closures. Some examples of numerical studies performed to simulate the flow and turbulence over a 3-D hill in wind-tunnel experiment in neutral stratification are presented and discussed. An intercomparison of simulations related to different closures is considered by analysing the main features of the flow over the hill and by comparing calculated vertical profiles of turbulent kinetic energy with measured ones.  相似文献

Pachygrapsus marmoratus is a semi-terrestrial crab and the most common grapsid crab in the intertidal belt of rocky shores throughout the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea and northeastern Atlantic. In this study, the combined effects of temperature (T), body mass (M), and sex (S) on the routine oxygen consumption rate (R) in P. marmoratus were quantified. The blotted wet body mass of the specimens ranged between 43 mg and 18.0 g, and five test temperatures were used between 13.5 and 28.0°C. Six candidate models that reflected different assumptions regarding the dependence of R on S and T were compared. Model selection was based on Kullback–Leibler’s information theory and Akaike’s information criterion (AIC). The model had the highest support by the data (E is the activation energy, B = 8.618 × 10−5 eV K−1 is Boltzmann’s constant, T a is the absolute temperature in Kelvin, and b the allometric scaling exponent); for P. marmoratus it was found that No sex dependence of R was supported by the data. Following a multi-model inference (MMI) approach, the mean (± SE) allometric exponent was 0.750 (± 0.013) having a 95% (bootstrap) confidence interval of 0.726–0.774. Thus, it was established that P. marmoratus follows Kleiber’s 3/4 law, as seems to be generally true for intertidal crabs. The allometric exponent was independent of temperature as has also been reported for many other marine invertebrates (at normal temperatures). Q 10 values were relatively low, indicating wide thermal tolerance of the species. Model selection based on information theory is recommended for respiration studies, as an effective method in finding a parsimonious approximating model. MMI by model averaging, based on Akaike weights, is an effective way to make robust parameter estimations and deal with model selection uncertainty.  相似文献

On the heating environment in street canyon   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
This study investigates the impact of building aspect ratio (building-height-to-street-canyon-width-ratio), wind speed and surface and air-temperature difference (Δθs−a) on the heating environment within street canyon. The Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) and energy transport equations were solved with Renormalization group (RNG) theory version of k-e{\varepsilon} turbulence model. The validation process demonstrated that the model could be trusted for simulating air-temperature and velocity trends. The temperature and velocity patterns were discussed in idealized street canyons of different aspect ratios (0.5–2.0) with varying ambient wind speeds (0.5–1.5 m/s) and Δθs−a (2–8 K). Results show that air-temperatures are directly proportional to bulk Richardson number (R b ) for all but ground heating situation. Conversely, air-temperatures increase significantly across the street canyon with a decrease in ambient wind speed; however, the impact of Δθs−a was negligible. Clearly, ambient wind speed decreases significantly as it passes over higher AR street canyons. Notably, air-temperatures were the highest when the windward wall was heated and the least during ground heating. Conversely, air-temperatures were lower along the windward side but higher within the street canyon when the windward wall was heated.  相似文献

A natural fish population is assumed to be subjected to a number of fishing experiments, during which the captured fish are released after tagging all untagged fish. Assuming that, in thek th sampling survey, the tagged and untagged fish are subjected toP tk andP uk fishing rates, andS tk andS uk survival rates, respectively, the population size can be estimated from an estimate ofP uk $$\begin{gathered} i.e., 1 - P_{uk} = \hfill \\ P_{tk \cdot } \frac{{S_t (k + 1)}}{{S_u (k + 1)}}\frac{\begin{gathered} Number of fish captured for the first time in \hfill \\ the (k + 1)^{th} survey plus fish belonging to this \hfill \\ group captured later \hfill \\ \end{gathered} }{\begin{gathered} Number of fish captured for the first time in \hfill \\ the k^{th} and captured again in the (k + 1)^{th} \hfill \\ \exp eriment plus fish belonging to this group \hfill \\ which are captured later \hfill \\ \end{gathered} } \hfill \\ \end{gathered}$$ All terms of the right hand side of the above equation are provided by capture-recapture experiments, except the survival rate of untagged fish which may be obtained by other information. This estimate of fishing rate of untagged fish is free from type (A) errors.  相似文献

Waves and turbulence in katabatic winds   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The measurements taken during the Vertical Transport and Mixing Experiment (VTMX, October, 2000) on a northeastern slope of Salt Lake Valley, Utah, were used to calculate the statistics of velocity fluctuations in a katabatic gravity current in the absence of synoptic forcing. The data from ultrasonic anemometer-thermometers placed at elevations 4.5 and 13.9 m were used. The contributions of small-scale turbulence and waves were isolated by applying a high-pass digital (Elliptical) filter, whereupon the filtered quantities were identified as small-scale turbulence and the rest as internal gravity waves. Internal waves were found to play a role not only at canonical large gradient Richardson numbers $(\overline{\hbox {Ri}_\mathrm{g} } >1)$ , but sometimes at smaller values $(0.1 < \overline{\hbox {Ri}_\mathrm{g}}<1)$ , in contrast to typical observations in flat-terrain stable boundary layers. This may be attributed, at least partly, to (critical) internal waves on the slope, identified by Princevac et al. [1], which degenerate into turbulence and help maintain an active internal wave field. The applicability of both Monin-Obukhov (MO) similarity theory and local scaling to filtered and unfiltered data was tested by analyzing rms velocity fluctuations as a function of the stability parameter z/L, where L is the Obukhov length and z the height above the ground. For weaker stabilities, $\hbox {z/L}<1$ , the MO similarity and local scaling were valid for both filtered and unfiltered data. Conversely, when $\hbox {z/L}>1$ , the use of both scaling types is questionable, although filtered data showed a tendency to follow local scaling. A relationship between z/L and $\overline{\hbox {Ri}_\mathrm{g} }$ was identified. Eddy diffusivities of momentum $\hbox {K}_\mathrm{M}$ and heat $\hbox {K}_\mathrm{H}$ were dependent on wave activities, notably when $\overline{\hbox {Ri}_\mathrm{g} } > 1$ . The ratio $\hbox {K}_{\mathrm{H}}/\hbox {K}_{\mathrm{M}}$ dropped well below unity at high $\overline{\hbox {Ri}_\mathrm{g} }$ , in consonance with previous laboratory stratified shear layer measurements as well as other field observations.  相似文献

In order to properly size the mechanical ventilation system of a tunnel, it is essential to estimate the wind-driven pressure difference that might rise between its two portals. In this respect, we explore here the pressure distribution over a tunnel portal under the influence of an incident atmospheric boundary layer and, in particular, its dependency on wind direction and on tunnel geometry. Reduced scale models of generic configurations of a tunnel portal are studied in an atmospheric wind tunnel. Pressure distributions over the front section of different open cavities are measured with surface taps, which allows us to infer the influence of the tunnel aspect ratio and wind direction on a pressure coefficient \(C_{P}\), defined as a spatially and time averaged non-dimensional pressure. Experiments reveal that the magnitude of the coefficient \(C_{P}\), as a function of the wind direction, is significantly influenced by the portal height-to-width ratio and almost insensitive to its length. The experimental data set is completed by hot-wire anemometry measurements providing vertical distribution of velocity statistics. The same configurations are simulated by numerically solving the Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations, adopting the standard \(k - \varepsilon\) turbulence model. Despite some discrepancies between numerical and experimental estimates of some flow parameters (namely the turbulent kinetic energy field), the numerical estimates of the pressure coefficients \(C_{P}\) show very good agreement with experimental data. The latter is also compared to the predictions of an analytical model, based on the estimate of a spatially averaged velocity within an infinitely long street canyon. The results of the model, which takes into account varying canyon aspect ratios, are in reasonable agreement with experimental data for all cases studied. Notably, its predictions are significantly better than those provided by the simple analytical relations usually adopted as a reference in tunnel ventilation studies.  相似文献

Despite beneficial effect of isoproterenol and doputamine, synthetic catecholamines rutinely used in intensive care patients, their high doses may contribute to cardiotoxicity. This study was conducted to examine whether these drugs can influence on Co, Cu - catalyzed generation deleterious reactive oxygen species (ROS) from H 2 O 2 using chemiluminescent, spectrophotometric and ESR spin trapping techniques. The enhanced production of ROS from the Co(II)+H 2 O 2 and Cu(II)+H 2 O 2 systems in the presence of isoproterenol and dobutamine was observed. The ROS generation was inhibited by scavengers of superoxide anion radical $ {\rm (O}_{\rm 2}^{{ \bar\bullet }} {\rm )} $ , hydroxyl radical $ ({\rm HO}^ \bullet ) $ scavengers and singlet oxygen ( 1 O 2 ) quenchers.  相似文献

We examined burrow irrigation activity by the mudflat worm Urechis caupo in response to suspended food, ambient hypoxia (down to 3.3 kPa PO2), hydrogen sulfide exposure (up to 100 µmol l-1), and short-term temperature change (range 10-22°C). In normoxic, nutrient-free water at 14°C, O2 consumption ( [(M)\dot]O2 ) \left( {\dot M{\rm O}_2 } \right) was 45 nmol min-1 g-1, water flow rate ( [(V)\dot]W ) \left( {\dot V_{\rm W} } \right) was 27 ml min-1 (0.66 ml min-1 g-1), frequency of peristaltic waves (FP) was 2.6 contractions min-1, stroke volume (SV) was 11 ml, and O2 extraction coefficient (EO2) was 0.27. Adding suspended food to the burrow water occasionally elicited stereotypical feeding behavior but had no effect on any measured variables during nonfeeding periods. Hypoxia greatly decreased [(M)\dot]O2 \dot M{\rm O}_2 (75% reduction at 3.3 kPa PO2) but did not affect [(V)\dot]W \dot V_{\rm W} , FP, SV, or EO2. Sulfide at 50 µmol l-1 or less had no effect on burrow irrigation activity, whereas 100 µmol l-1 sulfide decreased [(V)\dot]W \dot V_{\rm W} by 58% and FP by 50% but had no effect on SV. Temperature strongly affected [(V)\dot]W \dot V_{\rm W} (Q10 of 1.9 from 10°C to 22°C). We propose that U. caupo's ability to live in the hypoxic, sulfidic mud of productive mudflat environments, combined with its very efficient mucous net, allows it to process much less water for feeding than other suspension-feeding invertebrates. This, in turn, necessitates an efficient O2 extraction mechanism, which is provided by the water lung activity of U. caupo's unique hindgut.  相似文献

The parameter K of the von Bertalanffy equation, as developed by Beverton and Holt (1957), is first estimated by the relation $$\log _e \left( {dL_t /dt} \right) = A - Kt$$ where dLt/dt denotes growth increments per a unit of age, t denotes age, and A is a constant. The K estimate is used to evaluate L∞; $$L_\infty = \left( {e^K \sum\limits_2^n {L_t - \sum\limits_1^{n - 1} {L_t } } } \right)/\left( {n - 1} \right)\left( {e^K - 1} \right)$$ The L∞ estimate is used to estimate t o, and to obtain a better estimate for K; $$\log _e \left( {1 - L_t /L_\infty } \right) = - Kt + Kt_0 $$ The K estimate may be used to obtain another estimate for L∞. Solved examples show that a single iteration is sufficient to obtain fitted equations which are, on the average, as precise as equations fitted by the least squares method shown by Tomlinson and Abramson (1961). This new method can be used, with a slight modification, for the second equation given above, if growth data have unequal age intervals. The variance of K, t o and log e L∞ can be estimated by applying the simple methods used in the case of straight-line relationships.  相似文献

This paper presents the spatio-temporal variations in bed elevations and the near-bed turbulence statistics over the deformed bed generated around the submerged cylindrical piers embedded vertically on loose sediment bed at a constant flow discharge. Experiments were carried out in a laboratory flume for three blockage ratios in the range of 0.04–0.06 using three different sizes of submerged cylinders individually placed vertically at the centerline of the flume. Clear-water experimental conditions were maintained over the smooth sediment bed surface with a constant flow discharge (\(Q = 0.015\,{\rm m}^3/{\rm sec}\)), thereby giving three different cylinder Reynolds numbers \(Re_{D_c} = \frac{U_mD_c}{\nu }\) (=10200, 12750, 15300) away from the cylinder locations, where \(U_m\) is the maximum mean velocity, \(D_c\) is the cylinder diameter and \(\nu\) is the kinematic viscosity of fluid. Instantaneous sand bed elevations around the cylinders were recorded using a SeaTek 5MHz ultrasonic ranging system of net 24 transducers to estimate bed form migration, and the near-bed velocity data at transducer locations over the stable deformed bed around the pier-like structures were collected using down-looking three-dimensional (3D) Micro-acoustic Doppler velocimeter to estimate the bottom Reynolds shear stresses and the contributions of bursting events to the dominant shear stress component. The flow perturbation generated due to relatively lower flow blockage ratio favored to achieve the stable bed condition more rapidly than the others, and larger upstream scour-depth and deformed areas were noticed for greater flow blockage ratio due to larger cylinder diameter. For larger blockage ratio in the upstream of scour-hole near the bed, occurrences of probabilities of both boundary-ward interactions (Q1 and Q3) were the dominant; whereas in the downstream of the scoured region, occurrences of probabilities of second and third quadrant events (Q2 and Q4) were dominant. On the other hand, for the lower blockage ratio, quadrant (Q2) was dominant over Q4 in the downstream of scour-hole, and in the upstream of scour-hole, quadrant Q4 was the dominant.  相似文献

Summary. Evidence is presented that pyrrolizidine alkaloid acquired by Utetheisa ornatrix (Lepidoptera, Arctiidae) as a larva from Crotalaria foodplants is incorporated in part into the scales of the adult. A single forewing of a male or female moth may contain in the order of 6 to 13 g monocrotaline in its scale cover or about 1 to 2% of the moths systemic monocrotaline content. Based on estimates of the number of scales per forewing, the monocrotaline content of individual scales is calculated to be in the order of 0.1 and 0.2 ng monocrotaline per male and female scale, respectively. This amounts to concentrations of about 1 and 3%, values roughly at a par with the average systemic concentration (0.5-0.6%) previously determined for monocrotaline in Utetheisa. It is argued that the presence of pyrrolizidine alkaloid in the moths scale coating could account for the promptness with which adult Utetheisa are rejected by spiders. It is suggested further that chemical impregnation of scales with substances deterrent to predators may be more widespread among insects than generally assumed.  相似文献

A certain number of tagged fish is liberated and assumed to be distributed randomly among a natural fish population. The fish are subjected to a number of fishing experiments within relatively short periods, and lie between equal intervening periods of durationT. Untagged fish are retained, while tagged fish are released during the fishing experiments. Denoting the catchability of untagged fish byq u and that for tagged fish byq t , it is assumed that they are related by the equation “q u =cq t ” wherec is a constant. Denoting the survival rates of tagged fish and the effective fishing effort of commerical fisheries per unit time from the (k-1)th to thek th experiments by t S k andf k , respectively, it is assumed that they vary from period to period. Assuming that during thek th experiment, the number of untagged fish captured and the experimental fishing rate of tagged fish are denoted by u X k and t P k , respectively, then $$\begin{array}{*{20}c} {\frac{{(_u X_k )^2 }}{{[_u X_{(k - 1)} ][_u X_{(k + 1)} ]}} = \frac{{_t S_k }}{{_t S_{(k + 1)} }} \cdot \frac{{e^{ - (1 - c)q_t f_{(k + 1)} T} }}{{e^{ - (1 - c)q_t f_k T} }} \cdot } \\ {\frac{{1 - c_t P_{(k - 1)} }}{{1 - c_t P_k }} \cdot \frac{{(_t P_k )^2 }}{{[_t P_{(k - 1)} ][_t P_{(k + 1)} ]}}.} \\ \end{array}$$ The above equation containsc as a single unknown, while all other terms are supplied by the capture-recapture experiments, exceptf k andf (k+1) which may be obtained from fisheries statistics. A number of the above equations are obtained from several experiments and can be combined into a single equation to obtain an overall estimate forc which can be used to derive estimates for experimental fishing rates, abundance, and instantaneous natural and fishing mortality rates for natural fish populations. These estimates are free from type (A) tagging errors, and have the advantage of taking into consideration the probable different behaviour of tagged and untagged fish.  相似文献

When modeling atmospheric boundary layer flow over rough landscapes, surface fluxes of flow quantities (momentum, temperature, etc.) can be described with equilibrium logarithmic law expressions, all of which require specification of a roughness length that is, physically, the elevation at which the flow quantity equals its surface value. In high Reynolds number flows, such as the atmospheric boundary layer, inertial forces associated with turbulent eddy motions are responsible for surface momentum fluxes (form, or pressure drag). Surface scalar fluxes, on the other hand, occur exclusively via diffusion in the immediate vicinity of the topography—the interfacial region—before being advected by turbulent eddy motions into the bulk of the flow. Owing to this difference in surface transfer mechanism, the passive scalar roughness length, $z_{0S}$ , is known to be less than the momentum roughness length, $z_0$ . In this work, classical relations are used to specify $z_{0S}$ during large-eddy simulation of atmospheric boundary layer flow over aerodynamically rough, synthetic, fractal topographies which exhibit power-law height energy spectrum, $E_h (k) \sim k^{\beta _s}$ , where $\beta _s$ is a (predefined) spectral exponent. These topographies are convenient since they resemble natural landscapes and $\beta _s$ can be varied to change the topography’s aerodynamic roughness (the study considers a suite of topographies with $-2.4 \le \beta _s \le -1.2$ , where $-2.4$ and $-1.2$ are the “most smooth” and “most rough” cases, respectively, corresponding with roughness Reynolds number, $Re_0 \approx 10$ and $300$ ). It is often assumed that $z_{0S}/z_{0} \approx 10^{-1}$ for all $Re_0$ . But results from this work show that the roughness length ratio, $z_{0S}/z_{0}$ , depends strongly on $Re_0$ , ranging between $10^{-3}$ and $10^{-1}$ .  相似文献

Data from a comprehensive field study in the Riviera Valley of Southern Switzerland are used to investigate convective boundary layer structure in a steep valley and to evaluate wind and temperature fields, convective boundary layer height, and surface sensible heat fluxes as predicted by the mesoscale model RAMS. Current parameterizations of surface and boundary layer processes in RAMS, as well as in other mesoscale models, are based on scaling laws strictly valid only for flat topography and uniform land cover. Model evaluation is required to investigate whether this limits the applicability of RAMS in steep, inhomogeneous terrain. One clear-sky day with light synoptic winds is selected from the field study. Observed temperature structure across and along the valley is nearly homogeneous while wind structure is complex with a wind speed maximum on one side of the valley. Upvalley flows are not purely thermally driven and mechanical effects near the valley entrance also affect the wind structure. RAMS captured many of the observed boundary layer characteristics within the steep valley. The wind field, temperature structure, and convective boundary layer height in the valley are qualitatively simulated by RAMS, but the horizontal temperature structure across and along the valley is less homogeneous in the model than in the observations. The model reproduced the observed net radiation, except around sunset and sunrise when RAMS does not take into account the shadows cast by the surrounding topography. The observed sensible heat fluxes fall within the range of simulated values at grid points surrounding the measurement sites. Some of the scatter between observed and simulated turbulent sensible heat fluxes are due to sub-grid scale effects related to local topography.  相似文献

Physiological responses of two bivalves (Mytilus edulis L. and Cardium edule L.) to intertidal conditions were studied. Specimens were collected from S. W. England in autumn/winter, 1980, and acclimatized to either intertidal or subtidal regimes before measurement of rates of heat dissipation and oxygen uptake during 5 h of air exposure, and rates of , particle clearance, ammonia excretion, and food-absorption efficiency during 7 h of reimmersion. Subtidal individuals were either intermittently or continuously fed in order to distinguish the effects of periodic food supply from the effects of air exposure. Specimens of M. edulis had low aerial rates of (14 to 20% of aquatic rate), and was greater than the energy equivalent of , indicating that they were largely anaerobic. In contrast, C. edule air-gaped and had higher aerial rates of and (50 to 75% of aquatic rate). There were behavioural and metabolic differences in the responses of intertidally and subtidally acclimatized mussels and cockles to air exposure. Intertidal individuals of both species were more quiescent, had lower aerial rates of and , and showed a conditioned response at the expected time of reimmersion. The reduction in aerial rate of was an energy-saving mechanism and the payment of the oxygen-debt within 2 h of reimmersion represented a significant cost. The heat increment associated with feeding and digestion was estimated as 15 to 17% of the oxygen uptake by M. edulis during all stages of recovery. M. edulis adapted to the intertidal regime by reducing its time-averaged aerial and aquatic rates of ammonia excretion. In contrast, C. edule maintained a high aerial and aquatic rate of ammonia excretion. The clearance rates of M. edulis recovered rapidly (0.5 to 1.5 h) following reimmersion, whereas those of C. edule recovered more slowly, particularly for the subtidal individuals following acute exposure (>4 h). There was no evidence of increased clearance rate or absorption efficiency by intertidal individuals to compensate for the loss of feeding time. Intertidally acclimatized individuals of M. edulis and C. edule had more energy available for growth (scope for growth) integrated over a 12 h period and higher growth efficiencies than subtidal individuals subjected to acute air exposure and intermittent feeding regimes. This was the result of reduced aerial and aquatic rates of energy expenditure, a relatively small cost in terms of the payment of oxygen-debt and a rapid recovery of clearance rate following reimmersion.  相似文献

Nine polymorphic loci were found among 42 presumptive protein-coding gene loci surveyed among 474 red drum (Sciaenops ocellatus) sampled in 1987 from 13 nearshore and 1 offshore localities from the Atlantic coast of the southeastern USA and the northern Gulf of Mexico. The mean number of alleles over the polymorphic loci was 3.8, and the average heterozygosity over all loci examined was estimated as 0.047. These data indicate that red drum have normal levels of genetic variability. Wright'sF1 ST values (the standardized variance of allele frequencies between samples) over all polymorphic loci ranged from 0.009 to 0.027 (meanF1 ST =0.019), and estimates of the effective number of migrants (N e m) per generation using Wright's island model ranged from 9.0 to 27.5. High levels of gene flow among the red drum samples were also indicated by Slatkin's qualitative analysis using conditional average allele frequencies. Nei's estimates of genetic distance between pairs of samples ranged from 0.000 to 0.009, indicating a high degree of nuclear gene similarity among all samples. Highly significant heterogeneity in allele frequencies at the locus for adenosine deaminase was detected between red drum sampled from the Atlantic and those sampled from the Gulf and among red drum sampled from the Gulf.  相似文献
