In vitro antibacterial activity tests of seven biofungicides (Ekstrasol, Bisolbisan, Bisolbifit, Serenade, Sonata, Timorex, F-Stop) and two disinfectants (colloidal silver alone and in combination with hydrogen peroxide) against the Pseudomonas tolaasii strain (NS3B6) were carried out by the disc-diffusion, broth microdilution and broth macrodilution method. Biofungicides tested in this study did not exhibit any antimicrobial activity in neither one of the methods used. Disc diffusion method revealed high sensitivity of the tested P. tolaasii strain to Ecocute based on colloidal silver and hydrogen peroxide. Both microdilution and macrodilution methods identified the same MICs and MBCs of Ecocute (0.19 mg/L) for P. tolaasii strain. MICs and MBCs values of silver alone were much higher (10 mg/L) compared to silver in combination with hydrogen peroxide.  相似文献

Silver-based photographic X-ray film is made of solid crystals of silver chloride or silver bromide suspended in a gelatin and then coated on a film. During the X-ray developing process, the image is processed and the nonimage areas containing solid silver chloride or silver bromide crystals are removed in a solution called the fixer. There may be local environmental regulations that regulate the amount of silver discharged from a facility. To meet these regulations, many facilities have added silver recovery units to their processes. Two different types of recovery processes are in use in a large hospital and three clinics under study. All of the units were claimed by their respective manufacturers to be able to recover silver down to concentrations of 5 mg/L. This concentration would ensure that the building that houses each unit would meet the local county limit of 0.5 mg/L silver for total building silver discharge. The hypothesis for this research is that one system, newer and more expensive, consisting of so-called electrolytic plating units (EPUs) (which are followed by so-called metallic replacement units [MRUs] as a backup), will have better silver recovery than MRUs alone. A total of six units were sampled, three EPUs (in combination with MRUs) and three MRUs. The units were sampled once or twice a day for 10 days for a total of 17 samples from each. The samples then were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy, and an analysis of variance was performed on the results. The range for the electrolytic plating unit/metallic replacement unit combinations was 0.20-99.9 mg/L (mean of 35.15 mg/L; median of 33.8 mg/L). The range for the MRUs alone was 7.2-1112 mg/L (mean of 565.5 mg/L; median of 720 mg/L). Many individual results exceeded 5 mg/L, such that extensive dilution would be required to ensure the building effluent did not exceed 0.5 mg/L. It is suggested that the metallic replacement units be changed to EPUs (with metallic replacement backup units) because they had better silver recovery. Also, the EPU combinations need to be sampled regularly to ensure that their silver concentrations are at acceptable levels.  相似文献

Fe/活性炭多相类Fenton法湿式氧化罗丹明B废水的研究   总被引:9,自引:6,他引:3  
采用自制的Fe/活性炭(Fe/AC)为催化剂,H2O2为氧化剂,组成多相类Fenton试剂催化降解罗丹明B染料废水。实验结果表明,在催化剂加入量为0.8 g/L,H2O2体积分数为0.3%,废水pH值为13,反应时间为30 min的条件下,质量浓度为200 mg/L的罗丹明B染料废水的脱色率达100%。反应动力学研究表明,罗丹明B脱色反应近似为一级反应,30℃时反应速率常数为0.02675 min-1,表观活化能为69.47 kJ/mol。  相似文献

Atrazine (6-chloro-N-ethyl-N'-isopropyl-1,3,5-triazinedyl-2,4-diamine) was treated with ozone alone and in combination with hydrogen peroxide or UV radiation in three surface waters. Experiments were carried out in two bubble reactors operated continuously. Variables investigated were the ozone partial pressure, temperature, pH, mass flow ratio of oxidants fed: hydrogen peroxide and ozone and the type of oxidation including UV radiation alone. Residence time for the aqueous phase was kept at 10 min. Concentrations of some intermediates, including deethylatrazine, deisopropylatrazine and deethyldeisopropylatrazine, were also followed. The nature of water, specifically the alkalinity and pH were found to be important variables that affected atrazine (ATZ) removal. Surface waters with low alkalinity and high pH allowed the highest removal of ATZ to be reached. There was an optimum hydrogen peroxide to ozone mass flow ratio that resulted in the highest ATZ removal in each surface water treated. This optimum was above the theoretical stoichiometry of the process. Therefore, to reach the maximum removal of ATZ in a O3/H2O2 process, more hydrogen peroxide was needed in the surface waters treated than in ultrapure water under similar experimental conditions. In some cases, UV radiation alone resulted in the removal of ATZ higher than ozonation alone. This was likely due to the alkalinity of the surface water. Ozonation and UV radiation processes yield different amounts of hydrogen peroxide. Combined ozonations (O3/H2O2 and O3/UV) lead to ATZ removals higher than single ozonation or UV radiation but the formation of intermediates was higher.  相似文献

Antibiotics are commonly used to control microbial contaminants in yeast-based bioethanol fermentation. Given the increase in antibiotic-resistant bacteria, alternative natural antimicrobials were evaluated against the potential contaminant, Lactobacillus. The effects of nisin, ?-polylysine, chitosan (CS) and lysozyme were screened against 5 Lactobacillus strains. A standard broth- microdilution method was used in 96-well plates to assess the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC). L. delbrueckii subsp lactis ATCC479 exhibited maximal MICs with CS, ?-polylysine and nisin (1.87, 0.3125 and 0.05 mg/mL, respectively). Nisin reduced most Lactobacillus strains by 6 log CFU/mL after 48 hours with the exception of L. casei. Synergism occurred when ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) was added with nisin. An MIC of 0.4 mg/mL of nisin combined with the EDTA at an MIC of 1 mg/ml markedly suppressed L .casei by 6 log CFU/mL. In conclusion, alternative antimicrobials proved to be a potential candidate for controlling bacterial contamination in the fermentation process. Synergistic effect of nisin with EDTA successfully inhibited the nisin-resistant contaminant, L. casei.  相似文献

A kinetic model for the decolorization of C.I. Reactive Black 5 by the combination of hydrogen peroxide and UV radiation was developed based on experimental results and known chemical and photochemical reactions. The observed kinetic reaction coefficient was determined and correlated as a function of hydrogen peroxide concentration and UV intensity. The validity of the rate expression was tested experimentally in a parameterization study. The decolorization rate follows pseudo-first order kinetics with respect to dye concentration. The rate increases linearly with UV intensity and nonlinearly with increasing hydrogen peroxide concentration, going from a linear relationship at low H(2)O(2) concentrations to a maximum as hydrogen peroxide concentration continues to increase. The decolorization rate expression derived from the proposed reaction mechanism was reconciled with that used for correlating the experimental data.  相似文献

Role of alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E), beta-carotene and/or their combination as antioxidants against the toxicity of fenvalerate on blood hematology, free radicals, biochemical parameters, and semen quality were studied in male rats. Fenvalerate (20 mg/kg BW), vitamin E (100 mg/kg BW), beta-carotene (10 mg/kg BW), and vitamin E plus beta-carotene (100 + 10 mg/kg BW, respectively) were given alone or in combination with fenvalerate. The tested doses were given to rats every other day for 30 days. Results obtained showed that fenvalerate significantly (P < 0.05) induced free radicals in plasma and brain and insignificantly in liver and testes. While, vitamin E, beta-carotene alone and/or in combination decreased the levels of free radicals in plasma, liver, testes, and brain. The activities of glutathione S-transferase (liver), alkaline phosphatase (plasma and liver), aspartate aminotransferase (plasma, liver, and testes) and alanine aminotransferase (plasma and liver) were significantly (P < 0.05) increased due to fenvalerate administration. The activity of acetylcholinesterase was significantly (P < 0.05) decreased in brain and plasma, while plasma glucose, urea, creatinine, and bilirubin concentrations were significantly (P < 0.05) increased in rats treated with fenvalerate. Also, results showed a significant (P < 0.05) alterations in plasma proteins, hematological parameters, body weight, and relative weights of organs. Sperm concentration and motility (%) were significantly (P < 0.05) decreased, while dead and abnormal sperm increased in rats exposed to fenvalerate. Vitamin E, beta-carotene alone and/or in combination did not cause any changes in the investigated parameters, but improved semen quality and minimized the toxic effect of fenvalerate. The obtained results demonstrated the beneficial influences of vitamin E, beta-carotene alone and/or in combination in reducing the harmful effects of fenvalerate.  相似文献

研究了UV/Fenton技术对高浓度金属清洗乳化油废水的处理效果,考察了亚铁与双氧水浓度、pH、反应时间和搅拌对COD去除效果的影响。实验结果表明,UV/Fenton技术对高浓度乳化油废水(COD平均浓度为35 000 mg/L)具有较高的去除效果,最佳工艺条件为:亚铁与双氧水浓度分别为2 400 mg/L和6 000 mg/L,pH为3,经过2 h反应,COD可降低至1 050 mg/L,去除率为97%。搅拌会降低COD的去除率。研究表明,UV/Fenton技术对高浓度乳化油废水具有很好的降解效果,且药品消耗较低,为目前此类高浓度有机废水的处理提供了技术参考。  相似文献

采用臭氧曝气法、粉末活性炭吸附法、颗粒活性炭过滤法、臭氧曝气-粉末活性炭吸附联用法、空气曝气-粉末活性炭吸附联用法对沼液中的氨气、硫化氢、吲哚、挥发酚类等主要致嗅物质的去除情况进行了研究,同时分析了不同方法对沼液中营养物质TN、DN、TP、DP等的影响。结果表明,采用粉末活性炭吸附法处理沼液,臭味物质的去除情况以及营养物质的保留效果最好,当粉末活性炭投加量为15 000 mg/L时,沼液中的硫化氢、吲哚、挥发酚已经完全去除,氨氮、氨气的去除率分别为11.42%、13.98%;DN、DP含量分别减少了10.46%、19.53%,但是TN、TP含量分别增加了6.26%、9.63%。  相似文献

传统Fenton法在处理印染类废水时,因亚铁盐及双氧水的昂贵价格而限制了其实际应用。出于工程应用的考虑,提出了以Fenton法为重心,结合其他污水处理方法的综合方法,从而在达到相同处理效果的同时尽可能降低治污成本。研究表明,通过Fenton、铁碳微电解和中和沉淀吸附等方法的综合运用和优化组合,废水色度降至10倍以下,COD降至300 mg/L以下,去除率达到98%以上,pH调节为7,达到排放标准。  相似文献

以水体异味物质2-甲基异莰醇(2-methylisoborneol,2-MIB)为研究对象,在紫外光(λ<380 nm)照射下,探讨TiO2(P25)对2-MIB的光催化降解特性及光化学作用机理。结果表明,UV/TiO2光催化体系可以有效去除水体异味物质2-MIB,紫外光照射60 min,对2-MIB的降解率达95%。同时研究了光催化降解体系介质pH,共存腐殖酸(HA)和过硫酸钾(K2S2O8)对UV/TiO2光催化体系降解2-MIB的影响,发现低浓度HA([HA]≤0.5 mg/L)可以提高2-MIB降解速率,当HA浓度高于0.5 mg/L,2-MIB降解反应受到抑制;同时当加入电子受体K2S2O8后,降解体系中活性物种羟基自由基(.OH)明显增加,提高了TiO2对2-MIB的降解能力。利用苯甲酸荧光光度法和POD-DPD显色法跟踪测定降解过程中羟基自由基(·OH)和过氧化氢(H2O2)的变化,表明光催化反应涉及·OH机理。  相似文献

This work studied the destruction of various M-EDTA complexes and trace organic pollutants in treated reusable wastewater under advanced oxidation using UV irradiation and ozonation. Effect of dosage of hydrogen peroxide and acidity of reaction matrices on oxidation efficiencies were investigated. The rate constant of mineralization presents a decreasing trend as Fe(III)-EDTA > Fe(II)-EDTA > Al(III)-EDTA > Pb(II)-EDTA > Na(I)-EDTA > Zn(II)-EDTA > Cu(II)-EDTA. The mineralization efficiencies using ozone alone are 15%, 40% and 15% for the water samples after reverse osmosis (RO), microfiltration (MF) and superfiltration (SF) processes, respectively. The presence of hydrogen peroxide in photochemical reaction matrixes can effectively enhance the mineralization of organic carbon species. When 150 mg l(-1) of H2O2 was added in the effluents, the mineralization markedly increased to 80%, 92% and 89%, respectively.  相似文献

以橙黄II染料溶液为研究对象,通过正交实验确定了Fe-NTA/H2O2构成的类Fenton反应中各影响因子的最佳操作条件为:[H2O2]=20 mmol/L,[Fe-NTA]=2.5 mmol/L,pH=3。同时考察了反应时间、溶液pH值、H2O2浓度、Fe-NTA浓度对脱色效率的影响。实验表明脱色反应在30 m in内基本完成,类Fenton试剂能在较宽的pH范围内保持较好的脱色效果,而且在pH=6时,类Fenton试剂比传统Fenton试剂的脱色效率提高约75%。增加双氧水浓度可以提高橙黄II溶液脱色率,但超过20 mmol/L后效果提高不明显。在0.5~2.5 mmol/L的范围内,Fe-NTA浓度对脱色效果的影响不显著。  相似文献

采用微波辐照技术辅助双氧水氧化降解水中磺胺二甲嘧啶(SM2),研究了微波辅助双氧水氧化降解水中SM2的影响因素。结果表明,单纯使用微波辐照并不能显著降解SM2,而微波辐照可显著促进双氧水对SM2的氧化作用,提高SM2的降解率。在初始浓度为50 mg/L,微波功率为900 W,加入0.25 mL质量分数为30%的双氧水,pH值为4的条件下辐照6 min,SM2的降解率可达96.5%,COD去除率为72%。  相似文献

以苯胺和过硫酸铵为主要原料合成了盐酸聚苯胺(HClPANI)催化剂,并通过FTIR、XRD、SEM和EDS对催化剂进行了表征。研究了在紫外光照下、HClPANI催化H2O2氧化处理罗丹明B染料废水工艺参数,探讨了各种因素对废水脱色效果的影响,并对催化氧化机理进行了初步探讨。结果表明,催化剂HClPANI对催化H2O2氧化处理罗丹明B具有较好的催化活性、稳定性和重复使用性能。UV-H2O2-HClPANI体系产生了明显的协同效应,在pH=3、200 mg/L的罗丹明B废水中,30%H2O2用量为1.2 mL/L、HClPANI用量1 g/L、反应温度25℃、紫外灯功率500 W、光照70 min,罗丹明B脱色率达到了98.2%。  相似文献

以偶氮染料橙黄II为研究对象 ,考察了Fenton反应在超声辐射条件下 ,pH值、H2 O2 浓度、Fe2 + 离子浓度对COD去除率的影响。实验结果表明 ,超声对Fenton试剂处理偶氮染料橙黄II具有强化作用。超声条件下 ,当染料浓度为10 0mg/L、pH为 3.0、Fe2 + 离子浓度为 10mg/L、H2 O2 浓度为 4 0 0mg/L时 ,反应 90min ,COD去除率最高可达 93%。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Metal contamination constitutes a major source of pollution globally. Many recent studies emphasized the need to develop cheap and green technologies for the remediation or reclamation of environmental matrices contaminated by heavy metals. In this context, fungi are versatile organisms that can be exploited for bioremediation activities. In our work, we tested silver (Ag) bioaccumulation capabilities of three microfungal strains (Aspergillus alliaceus Thom & Church, Trichoderma harzianum Rifai, Clonostachys rosea (Link) Schroers, Samuels, Seifert & W. Gams) isolated from a silver polluted site. The aim was to select silver tolerant native strains and test their potential silver uptake. Among the three species tested, T. harzianum was the most efficient strain to tolerate and accumulate silver, showing an uptake capability of 153 mg L?1 taken at the Ag concentration of 330 mg L?1. Our study highlights the potential use of native microfungi spontaneously growing in sulphide-rich waste rock dumps, for silver bioaccumulation and bioremediation.  相似文献
