Summary Planthopper (Insecta: Homoptera) feeding stress induces a senesence-like response in the leaves ofSpartina alterniflora characterized by decreased soluble protein, an increased total amino acid pool, and elevated levels of 10 individual amino acids. Increased proline and tryptophan in response to planthopper feeding could not be fully explained by protein degradation. Low degrees of soil salinity stress resulted in an increased total free amino acid pool and elevated levels of 7 amino acids. Anaerobic soil stress resulted in decreased glutamic acid and increased asparagine. Low salinity and anaerobic stress had no effect on soluble protein levels. Glycinebetaine was not affected by the stresses examined in this study.  相似文献

Summary Chemical components of the cephalic labial gland secretion, which most likely is used as a precopulatory attracting signal, were identified in males of the cuckoo bumblebeesPsithyrus vestalis (Geoffroy) andP. bohemicus (Seidl.) by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The former species has geranylcitronellyl acetate as main component, plus in decreasing amounts geranylcitronellol, an eicosadienal, an eicosenol, and an eicosenal. Another 17 fatty acid derivatives are present in minor amounts. The labial secretion ofP. vestalis differs distinctly in its chemistry from that of all of the 8 other ScandinavianPsithyrus species. In the taxonomically closely related (same subgenus)P. bohemicus, the labial gland secretion contains 16 fatty acid derivatives, of which 12 (75%) are present also in the secretion ofP. vestalis. Thus, both the labial gland secretions, and morphological traits lend support to the hypothesis that the two species share a common ancestor. The reproductive isolation between them is, at least in part, supported by the inclusion of a second biosynthetical pathway (the mevalonic acid pathway producing terpenoids) inP. vestalis, in addition to the pathway common to both species (the polyketide pathway producing fatty acid derivatives).  相似文献

Summary The exocrine glandular secretions of larvae of the subfamily Chrysomelinae are known to repel conspecific adults, other competitive phytophagous insects and natural enemies. InPhaedon cochleariae, the intraspecific activity of tlc fractions of the larval secretion was tested in order to examine the ecological significance of two fractions containing minor components and a fraction containing the major compound, the cyclopentanoid monoterpene (epi)chrysomelidial. InChrysomela lapponica, the defensive activity of the larval secretion against ants is known from specimens feeding upon willow or birch. The feeding preferences of larvae and adults ofC. lapponica from a Finnish and a Czech population were tested. The Finnish individuals significantly preferred feeding uponSalix borealis, whereas they hardly fed upon birch. The Czech specimens clearly preferred birch (Betula pubescens) to willow species. Application of salicin onto leaves of a willow species free of this phenolglycoside revealed that the Finnish individuals preferred feeding upon leaves with salicin. On the other hand, the Czech individuals avoided feeding upon leaves ofB. pubescens treated with salicin. The chemical composition of the glandular secretion of the Finnish larvae differed from the one of the Czech larvae. GC-MS-analyses of the secretions revealed that salicylaldehyde was the only major component of the secretion of Finnish larvae feeding upon the salicin-containing willowS. borealis. The glandular secretion of the Czech larvae feeding upon birch contained numerous esters of isobutyric acid and 2-methylbutyric acid. When Czech larvae had fed upon a salicin-containing willow (S. fragilis), the major compounds of their secretion were benzoic acid, salicylalcohol and benzoic acid esters; salicylaldehyde was only detected in traces. Thus,C. lapponica individuals from the Finland population adapted so closely to a salicincontaining willow that they clearly prefer this plant for food and that they obviously derive their main larval defensive compound (salicylaldehyde) from their host-plant.  相似文献

The vertical distribution of chlorophylla, copepods, dissolved free amino acid concentration and the fixation of14C by phytoplankton were monitored in the springs of 1983, 1987 and 1988 in the Ushant front region, shelf edge of the Celtic Sea and central Irish Sea, respectively. In each area, two stations characterized by mixed and stratified water conditions were compared. Vertical distributions of amino acids coincided with the distribution of copepods. A positive and significant correlation was found between the abudance of copepods and the concentration of amino acids dissolved in seawater. A negative and significant correlation was found between chlorophylla and the concentration of amino acids. Enrichment of amino acids ( 20 to 500 nM l–1 at specific depths) due to aspartic and glutamic acids, glutamine and ornithine, was assumed to reflect copepod feeding activity and faecal production. At these depths, the natural concentration and diversity of amino acids, including aspartic acid, glutamic acid, asparagine, serine, histidine, glutamine, arginine, threonine, glycine, alanine, tyrosine, valine, phenylalanine, ornithine and lysine, were high enough and in the correct proportions for triggering feeding and swimming and swarming behavior of copepods, as well as their remote detection of food at the micro- and meso-scales (1 to 10 m). This accumulation of amino acids also constitutes a potential additional source of organic nitrogen for bacteria and phytoplankton.  相似文献

Summary When the larvae of the caddis flyApatania fimbriata (Pictet) are threatened, drops of fluid appear on their head capsules. The secretions are produced in a gland in the dorsal part of the prothorax. The neck region contains an eversible sac with numerous single setae, groups of 3 setae, or rows of setae on the surface. The secretion is released through two paris of orifices on the lateral sides of the sac. For the most part the secretion is composed of some 30 fatty acids, with the major components having 12–14 carbon atoms and up to 4 double bonds (approx. 1–2 µg secretion per specimen). Biotests with synthetic saturated acids (C6–C12) in a stream and in the laboratory demonstrated a paralysing effect on small invertebrate predators (Rhyacophila sp.,Plectrocnemia conspersa, Hydropsyche sp., larvae, all Trichoptera). In choice experiments,Rhyacophila sp. larvae preferred larvae ofAgapetus fuscipes andDrusus annulatus (Trichoptera) as food as compared withApatania fimbriata larvae. Larger predators, such asDinocras cephalotes (Insecta, Plecoptera) and the fishCottus gobio, did not discriminate betweenApatania fimbriata and other prey species. The use of fatty acids in defensive secretions is interpreted as an adaptation to the running water environment. They are effective repellents againstRhyacophila sp. larvae, the most important predator in the natural environment ofApatania larvae.  相似文献

Summary Oreina cacaliae andO. speciosissima (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) sequester in their elytral and pronotal defensive secretions pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs) as Noxides (PA N-oxides). The PA N-oxide patterns found in the beetles and their host plants were evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively by capillary gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Of the three host plantsAdenostyles alliariae (Asteraceae) is the exclusive source for PA N-oxide sequestration in the defensive secretions of the beetles. With the exception of O-acetylseneciphylline the N-oxides of all PAs ofA. alliariae, i.e. senecionine, seneciphylline, spartioidine, integerrimine, platyphylline and neoplatyphylline were identified in the secretion. PA N-oxides typical ofSenecio fuchsii (Asteraceae) were detected in the bodies of the beetles but not in their secretion. No PAs were found in the leaves of the third host plant,Petasites paradoxus (Asteraceae). The results suggest the existence of two distinctive storage compartments for PA N-oxides in the beetle: (1) the defensive secretion, containing specifically PA N-oxides acquired fromA. alliariae; (2) the body of the beetle, sequestering additionally but less selectively PA N-oxides from other sources,e.g. S. fuchsii or monocrotaline N-oxide fed in the laboratory. The concentration of PA N-oxides in the defensive secretion is in the range of 0.1 to 0.3 mol/1, which is more than 2.5 orders of magnitude higher than that found in the body of the beetle. No significant differences exist in the ability of the two species of beetles to sequester PA N-oxides fromA. alliariae, althoughO. speciosissima, but notO. cacaliae, produces autogenous cardenolides. A negative correlation seems to exist between the concentrations of plant-derived PA N-oxides andde novo synthesized cardenolides in the defensive secretion ofO. speciosissima.  相似文献

The distribution and fate of14C-proline were investigated in immature tiger prawns,Penaeus esculentus Haswell, collected in Moreton Bay, Cleveland, Australia, by trawling during 1986/1987. Initially the prawns were fed14C-proline in food pellets to follow the pathway of proline absorption and distribution in the body.14C-proline was also injected directly into the prawn to provide sufficient tracer to follow the incorporation of14C into other amino acids and into proteins. A comparison was made of the metabolism of injected14C-proline over 48 h in prawns that had been fed and those that had been starved for 10 d. Free amino acids (FAA) in the muscle and protein-bound amino acids were analysed separately. Labelled proline was completely absorbed and distributed within the body 3 h after ingestion, about 80% being in the tissues, mostly in muscle. There was no significant difference between the total CO2 output in fed and starved prawns, but the latter metabolised about twice the amount of labelled proline over 48 h. At this time, in abdominal muscle of fed prawns, about 95% of the total muscle label was in the FAA; of the label in the FAA, 78% was proline and 18% glutamic acid, with the remainder in hydroxyproline, aspartic acid, glutamine, alanine and Kreb's cycle intermediates. In the starved prawns, proline was 58%, glutamic acid 24%, with correspondingly higher amounts in the other compounds. In the muscle protein, the distribution of label was similar in fed and starved prawns, with 72 to 74% as proline. The experiments showed that proline is not very labile in the tiger prawn and its rate of synthesis is slow. It does not appear to be an important source of energy as in some insects and cephalopods, but during starvation is only slowly oxidised for energy.  相似文献

Growth of marine planktonic diatoms on inorganic and organic nitrogen   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
A study was conducted to determine if coastal diatoms from eutrophic waters (Werribee, Port Phillip Bay, Australia) are able to grow better than diatoms from oligotrophic waters (Bass Strait, Australia) on organic nitrogen compounds as their principal nitrogen sources. Eight clones of marine planktonic diatoms, belonging to 5 species (Skeletonema costatum, Asterionella japonica, Nitzschia closterium, Coscinodiscus sp., and Fragilaria sp.), were incubated with inorganic (either nitrate or ammonia) or organic (either urea, uric acid, alanine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, serine, threonine, or valine) nitrogen sources and growth response was measured under high and low light intensities. All clones grew well on the organic as well as thorganic nitrogen compounds under both light regimes. Intraspecific differences were not great, as no appreciable difference was noted between clones from oligotrophic and eutrophic waters. The two negatively-charged amino acids, aspartic and glutamic acids, were somewhat less effective in supporting growth of some clones than were the other amino acids. Virtually all of the dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) compounds tested were utilizable for algal growth. Further, all clones appeared able to utilize at least some natural DON (uncharacterized) for cell division; in 1980, DON represented 97% of total nitrogen in Bass Strait and 83% of total nitrogen in Werribee waters. The results are consistent with previous findings on algal utilization of certain DON compounds and indicate comparable abilities of cells from oligotrophic and eutrophic coastal waters to assimilate these nutrients.Publication No. 307 in the Ministry for Conservation, Victoria, Environmental Studies Series  相似文献

Summary. Males of the German cockroach, Blattella germanica, secrete a pheromonal substance from the abdominal tergal glands, which elicits a feeding response in females during the sequential courtship behavior. The nuptial secretion consists predominantly of a synergistic mixture of sugars and phospholipids. Cholesterol and a series of amino acids, which are also components of the males glandular secretion, significantly enhanced the phagostimulant activity of the sugar components. The nuptial feeding behavior of the female cockroach is therefore elicited by a complex assortment of nutritive components in the male tergal secretion, including sugars, phospholipids, cholesterol, and amino acids. These results indicate that a mixture of primary metabolites, and not of specific secondary metabolites, serves as a pheromonal cue that appeals to the females gustatory sense and effectively brings her to the precopulatory position. Although the male secretion consists of nutrients, we suggest that these compounds probably do not represent a significant nutrient investment in females and their progeny but rather function as a signal in the mating sequence of B. germanica.  相似文献

Phagostimulatory properties of amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, fatty acids, and cholesterol were assessed for sea hares (Aplysia kurodai and A. dactylomela). A. kurodai were collected at Shirahama, Japan, during March-May 1979, and A. dactylomela were collected at Barbados, West Indies, during August-November 1978. Greatest phagostimulatory responses were elicited by starch, glutamic and aspartic acids, maltose, oleic acid, and certain combinations of vitamins. Combinations of nutrients resulted in negative synergistic or masking effects of the phagostimulatory properties of the component nutrients. The widespread sensitivity and responsiveness to glutamic and aspartic acids by marine invertebrates, and especially by sea hares, are discussed from the standpoint of possible use by marine herbivores as feeding cues.  相似文献

Changes in the protein, lipid, glycogen, cholesterol and energy contents, total amino acid and fatty acid profiles of Octopus vulgaris and O. defilippi tissues (gonad, digestive gland and muscle) during sexual maturation (spermatogenesis and oogenesis) were investigated. Both species showed an increase of amino acids and protein content in the gonad throughout sexual maturation (namely in oogenesis), but allocation of these nitrogen compounds from the digestive gland and muscle was not evident. The major essential amino acids in the three tissues were leucine, lysine and arginine. The major non-essential amino acids were glutamic acid, aspartic acid and alanine. With respect to carbon compounds, a significant increasing trend (P<0.05) in the lipid and fatty acid contents in the three tissues was observed, and, consequently, there was also little evidence of accumulated lipid storage reserves being used for egg production. It seems that for egg production both Octopus species use energy directly from food, rather than from stored products. This direct acquisition model contrasts with the previous model for Octopus vulgaris proposed by ODor and Wells (1978: J Exp Biol 77:15–31). Most of saturated fatty acid content of the three tissues was presented as 16:0 and 18:0, monounsaturated fatty acid content as 18:1 and 20:1 and polyunsaturated fatty acid content as arachidonic acid (20:4n-6), eicosapentaenoic acid (20:5n-3) and docosahexaenoic acid (22:6n-3). Though cholesterol is an important precursor of steroid hormones, this sterol content exhibited variations that do not seem to be related with the maturation process. Moreover, significant differences (P<0.05) were obtained between genders, suggesting that perhaps there is a greater physiological demand for cholesterol during spermatogenesis than oogenesis. If the component sterols of octopus are of a dietary origin, considerable variation in the cholesterol content between species might be expected on the basis of the sterol composition of their prey. The glycogen reserves increased significantly in the gonad and decreased significantly (P<0.05) in the digestive gland and muscle of O. vulgaris (these trends were not evident in O. defilippi). Glycogen may play an important role in the maturation process and embryogenesis of these organisms, because carbohydrates are precursors of metabolic intermediates in the production of energy. It was evident that sexual maturation had a significant effect upon the gonad energy content, but the non-significant energy variation (P>0.05) in the digestive gland and muscle revealed no evidence that storage reserves are transferred from tissue to tissue. The biochemical composition of digestive gland and muscle may not be influenced by sexual maturation, but rather by other biotic factors, such as feeding activity, food availability, spawning and brooding.Communicated by S.A. Using the starvation technique, changes in protein and free amino acids were examined in Penaeus esculentus Haswell collected from Moreton Bay, Australia, by trawling in 1985. Prawns of 17.7±0.26 g wet weight were held at 25°C until 2 d after moulting. Groups of seven or eight were then starved fro 5, 10, or 15 d, with appropriate control groups. At the end of each period, ecreted amino acids were collected for 24 h and whole-muscle amino acids and free amino acids (FAA) g-1 in each prawn were analysed. Concentrations of whole-muscle amino acids showed only minor changes with starvation, but concentrations of many of the FAA changed significantly. Total FAA averaged 1 182±45 mol g-1 dry weight. Individual FAA, in order of abundance, were glycine, arginine, proline, taurine, threonine, hydroxyproline, alanine, glutamic acid, valine, aspartic acid and lysine; the remaining FAA each contributed <0.2% of the total. Only taurine and alanine did not show significant changes with starvation. Concentrations of glycine, arginine, hydroxyproline, glutamic and aspartic acid increased, while those of proline, threonine, valine and lysine decreased with starvation, that of proline approaching zero after 15 d starvation. Excreted amino acid-nitrogen represented <2% of excreted ammonianitrogen ornithine being the most abundant (35%), followed by leucine (22%) and lysine (17%). The relative abundance of excreted amino acids did not correspond with those of the FAA. It is suggested that, as starvation progresses, the muscle protein is progressively hydrolysed, but with the remaining muscle maintaining its amino acid composition. The liberated amino acids enter the FAA pool and become available for energy production. Proline may have an important role as an energy source, but the ability to synthesise proline may be limited, and thus the artificial food of penaeid prawns may be improved by its addition.  相似文献

Summary The adaptation of defensive secretions to their target organisms was examined for the abdominal gland secretions ofBledius furcatus, B. spectabilis andB. arenarius. Therefore the target organisms of the secretion of theseBledius species (i.e. their predators) had to be identified. At the collection sites examined these were the earwigLabidura riparia, the antCataglyphis bicolor, the flyLispe candicans, different carabids of the generaPogonus, Dichirotrichus, Dyschirius, Bembidion andCalathus and the wading birdsHaematopus ostralegus andCalidris alba. The secretion of the abdominal glands contains the toxin ptoluquinone dissolved in either-dodecalactone and 1-undecene (B. furcatus andB. spectabilis) or in octanoic acid and octyloctanoate (B. arenarius). The ratio of these solvents is species-specific. Application experiments using some of the natural insect predators (L. riparia, C. bicolor, Pogonus, Di. gustavii, Dyschirius) revealed that these solvent ratios provided a more effective deterrent than other possible ratios. Thus by combining the solvents in certain ratios, the capability of cuticular penetration and therefore the effectiveness of the defensive secretions are adapted to their natural targets.  相似文献

Summary Interactions were studied among alkaloid-containing legumes (Erythrina corallodendrum andSpartium junceum) and non-toxic plants (Citrus sinensis, Cucurbita moschata andEuphorbia tirucalli), several polyphagous homopterans,Aphis craccivora (Aphididae),Icerya purchasi, I. aegyptiaca (Margarodidae),Lepidosaphes ulmi (Diaspididae) andPlanococcus citri (Pseudococcidae), and some major natural enemies of these homopterans. Significant reductions in survival due to negative effects of alkaloid containing as compared with non-alkaloidal plants were recorded for the predatorsRodolia cardinalis andChilocorus bipustulatus, but not forCryptolaemus montrouzieri (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae),Chrysoperla carnea (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) andSympherobius sanctus (Neuroptera: Sympherobiidae). The development time of the larvae or pupae ofR. cardinalis, C. carnea andS. sanctus was longer on the toxic plants than on the non-toxic ones. The percentage of parasitism ofA. craccivora collected from the non-alkaloidal plantsVicia palaestina andMelilotus albus was much higher than that onS. junceum. The parasitoid complexes ofA. craccivora differed between both plant groups. The nutritive value of honeydew ofI. purchasi andA. craccivora, as expressed by the life span ofEncyrtus infelix (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) adults, was also investigated. Life spans were significantly longer when the wasps fed on honeydew produced on non-alkaloidal plants (C. sinensis andPittosporum tobira) than on alkaloid containing plants whenI. purchasi — but notA. craccivora — was the producer. It is suggested that the chemical defense ofE. corallodendrum andS. junceum is exploited by polyphagous phytophages to reduce predation. In nature, population growth and density of four of the investigated homopterans are conspicuously high when they developed on the alkaloid containing plant species, and very low on non-alkaloid plants. The efficiency of their natural enemies may be reduced by sequestration of alkaloids (or other toxic plant compounds) or their transfer into excreted honeydew. Therefore it is assumed that a generalist phytophagous homopteran may be protected from its natural enemies, although at different rates of efficiency, if it can safely sequester the host allelochemical when it develops on toxic species within its host range.  相似文献

The present study is a comprehensive comparison of the biochemical composition (protein, lipid, glycogen and cholesterol contents, and amino acid and fatty acid profiles) of 14 species of cephalopods with different life strategies (benthic, nektobenthic, benthopelagic and pelagic) in distinct habitats (neritic, demersal, oceanic and deep sea), with special emphasis placed on a male Architeuthis sp. The giant squid showed a significantly lower protein and total amino acid content in the gonad and digestive gland. The major essential amino acids were leucine, lysine and arginine. The major non-essential amino acids were glutamic acid, aspartic acid and proline. The benthopelagic cirrate octopus Opisthoteuthis sp. showed a lower content of these nitrogen compounds in the muscle. In respect to lipid and fatty acid contents, the giant squid showed the highest values in the gonad and digestive gland and the lowest in the muscle. Most of saturated fatty acid content was presented as 16:0; monounsaturated fatty acid content, as 18:1 and 20:1; and polyunsaturated fatty acid content, as 20:4n-6, 20:5n-3 and 22:6n-3. The highest cholesterol content in the gonad was detected in Opisthoteuthis sp. and Architeuthis sp.; in the digestive gland. in Todarodes sagittatus; and in the muscle, in Sepia elegans. The highest glycogen value in the gonad was detected in Octopus vulgaris; in the digestive gland and muscle, the highest values were attained in Opisthoteuthis sp. The relationships between life strategies and biochemical composition were investigated and principal component analysis (PCA) was performed. The different cephalopod life strategies could be well separated on the basis of the first two principal components. The nektobenthic and pelagic strategies were clearly separated from the benthic, suggesting that these groups of species are characterized by lower lipid content and higher protein content in the gonad. A rather similar life-strategy distinction was obtained for the digestive gland. The benthopelagic strategy was also well separated from benthic and pelagic strategies and from Architeuthis sp. In the muscle, the results indicated lower nitrogen and carbon compound contents in Architeuthis sp. and Opisthoteuthis sp. The environmental conditions that possibly explain the Architeuthis sp. stranding, the relationships between biochemical compositions and the life strategies of the different cephalopod species studied are discussed.Communicated by S.A. Summary Gas chromatographic analyses of volatizable material from gaster intersegmental complex glands ofP. tridentata revealed the presence of linoleic acid, palmitic acid, methyl oleate, and several long-chain hydrocarbons as major constituents, which form an oily fluid mixture. The nest relocation communication ofP. tridentata is tandem running. Tandem following is mediated by pheromones as demonstrated by dummy experiments with isolated gasters and thoraces and with glass balls. The secretions of all gaster complex glands, as well as hind gut contents and metapleural gland secretions, were unable to evoke tandem following. Morphology and position of the glands, lack of pheromonal function, oily properties, low volatility, and lack of antibiotic effects of these secretions strongly suggest a function as lubricants for the ants' gastral segments.  相似文献

Summary Gyrinid beetles are common in freshwater habitats. They have paired pygidial glands with a secretion that contains high molecular weight substances rendering them toxic for predatory fish. In this paper we report on a laboratory study on volatile components released by three different gyrinid species when irritated. The volatile pattern had a clear difference between the different species.Gyrinus substriatus andG. aeratus, both produced 3-methyl-1-butanal and 3-methyl-1-butanol when irritated, but in quite different amounts. The third tested species,G. minutus, did not produce any substances above the detection level. It is suggested that the volatile compounds may be part of the beetles' communication and/or defence system.  相似文献

Summary A comparative morphological and chemical study of six endemic species ofCataglyphis from the Iberian Peninsula:C. ibericus, C. rosenhaueri, C. hispanicus, C. humeya, C. velox andC. floricola and the Moroccan speciesC. bombycinus is described. The morphological study relied primarily on genitalia characteristics, whereas the chemical study concentrated on the postpharyngeal gland constituents. Cladograms based on the morphological and chemical data were performed using Ward's method. The dendrogram based on morphological features revealed that the IberianCataglyphis can be classified into three species groupsalbicans, altisquamis andemmae. The same pattern occurred when the dimethylalkanes constituents of the postpharyngeal gland were utilised as character states, with a slight displacement of species within thealtisquamis group. However, when the complete hydrocarbon blend was utilised major discrepancies in the dendrograms occurred.Cataglyphis velox proved to be very similar toC. bombycinus, whereasC. floricola clustered with the other two species of thealtisquamis group. Based on the geographical distribution and paleontological data (Tinaut 1993) it is assumed thatC. floricola recently invaded the Iberian Peninsula. Based on the chemical findings we postulate that chemical character displacement occurred inC. floricola as a result of its sympatry withC. velox after the former colonized the Iberian Peninsula. We further discuss the possible reason for the different dendrograms obtained when only the dimethylalkanes are considered and its implication for the communicative role of the postpharyngeal gland secretion in these ants.  相似文献

Females ofBlattella germanica andBlaberus craniifer produce a volatile sex pheromone attractive at a distance for conspecific males. During the emission of the pheromone, females ofB. craniifer adopt a typical calling posture; we never observe such a stance inB. germanica females. For both species, the glandular structures responsible for pheromonal production are located on the female pygidium. InB. germanica, the thickness of the glandular epithelium is clearly correlated with the attractiveness of females, being maximum for 13 day old females. The functions of the pygidial glands are discussed in both species.  相似文献
