Taking the distributing calculation of velocity and concentration as an example,the paper established a series of governing equations by the vorticity-stream function method, and dispersed the equations by the finite differencing method.After figuring out the distribution field of velocity, the paper also calculated the concentration distribution in sedimentation tank by using using the two-dimensional concentration transport equation.The validity and feasibility of the numerical method was verified through comparing with experimental data.Furthermore,the paper carried out a tentative exploration into the application of numerical simulation of sedimentation tanks.  相似文献

The sedimentation of cylindrical pollutant particles which fall through a fluid is investigated. Differing from previous research work,particle oscillation and effect of particle on the fluid are considered, and the torque exerted on a particle when viscous fluid flow around a particle is got through experiment and included in the numerical simulation. The computational results showed that the sedimentation velocities of particle increase slowly with the increase of particle aspect ratio 9. For disk-like particle, when the motion direction of particle is parallel to axis of particle, particle falls more slowly than the case of perpendicular to axis of particle; while for rod-like particle, it is inverse. For sedimentation of a crowd of high-frequency oscillating cylindrical particles with arbitrary initial orientation, both vertical velocity and horizontal velocity oscillate dramatically, the degree of oscillation of the former is stronger than the later. A crowd of particles fall more quickly than an isolated particle. Particles tend to strongly align in the direction of gravity. The computational results agreed well with the experimental ones and helpful for controlling of pollutant particles.  相似文献

With the development of activated sludge model, the simulation software for the design and operation of wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) was produced and has been widely used. The dynamic change of the quality and flow of influent are major factors causing the unstable operation of wastewater treatment process. As a basic model, ASMI model was used for the simulation of activated sludge process, and double exponential model was selected for the simulation of secondary sedimentation tank. The influences of influent change to the aeration tank and secondary sedimentation tank were investigated, and the relationship among influent change, the quality of effluent and the level of sludge blanket in secondary sedimentation tank was established. On the basis of the simulation results, the operation of the WWTP could be adjusted under the dynamic change of the influent. Furthermore, the controlling strategy combined the feed-forward on the influent flow and the feedback on the level of sludge blanket in the secondary sedimentation tank was studied.  相似文献

Lattice Boltzmann method and elastic particle collision model were used to investigate the sedimentation of short cylindrical pollutant particles with mechanical contacts for varying bulk number density ε and terminal Reynolds number ReT. The corresponding experiments were performed as a comparison. The clusters of pollutant particles with an inverted “T” structure were observed, the pollutant particles for high ε and large ReT scattered wider than that for low ε and small ReT. The sedimentation velocities increased suddenly at the initial stage, then decreased drastically, after that swayed around and approached to a steady value. The time to steady state did not depend on ε and ReT. The effect of particle interactions was to hinder the average sedimentation velocity, and hindrance was directly proportional to ε. The orientation distributions of pollutant particles depended on ReT and ε, especially on the former. Both the standard deviations of vertical and horizontal velocity, the former was larger than the latter, were nearly independent on ε and ReT.  相似文献

A newly developed model for the optimum municipal wastewater treatment plant (MWTP) design is presented. Through introducing the interval variables, the model attempts to consider the effects of uncertainties caused by the fluctuation of the wastewater quality and quantity during the design of MWTP. The model solution procedure is illustrated in detail, and a numerical example is given to verify the feasibility and advantage of the model. Sediment has been identified as a significant threat to water quality and channel clogging that in turn may lead to river flooding. With the increasing awareness of the impairment from sediment to water bodies in a watershed, identifying the locations of the major sediment sources and reducing the sediment through management practices will be important for an effective watershed management. The annualized agricultural non-point sourcepollution(AnnAGNPS) model and newly developed GIS interface for it were applied in a small agricultural watershed, Redrock Creek watershed, Kansas, in this pilot study for exploring the effectiveness of using this model as a management tool. The calibrated model appropriately simulated monthly runoff and sediment yield through the practices in this study and potentially suggested the ways of sediment reduction through evaluating the changes of land use and field operation in the model for the purpose of watershed management.  相似文献

An improved implementation of distributed multiplier/fictitious domain method is presented for the direct numerical simulation of particulate flow. The key improvement is to replace a finite-element triangulation for the velocity and a “twice-coarser“ triangulation for the pressure with a rectangular discretization for the velocity and pressure. For code validation, the sedimentation of a single particle in a twodimensional channel was simulated. The results showed that the simulation is independent of the mesh size as well as the time step. The comparison between experimental data and this simulation showed that our code can give a more accurate simulation on the motion of particlesthan previous DLM code. The code was then applied to simulate the sedimentation of 600 particles in a rectangular box. The falling course ispresented and discussed. At the same time, this simulation also demonstrates that the method presented in this paper can be used for solving the initial problems involving a lager number of particles exaclly with computing durations kept at acceptable levels.  相似文献

The planar 2D k-ε double equations‘ turbulence model was adopted and transformed into non-orthogonal curvilinear coordinates. The concentration convection-diffusion was introduced to planar 2D SIMPLEC algorithm of flow in non-orthogonal curvilinear coordinates. The numerical model of pollutant transportation in non-orthogonal curvilinear coordinates was constructed. The model was applied to simulate the flow and pollutant concentration fields. In the testing concentration field, two optimal operations of contamination discharging both along bank and in the centerline at the first bend of the meandering channel were adopted. Comparison with available data showed the model developed was successful, was valuable to engineering application.  相似文献

A numerical simulation model of pesticide transport and transformation in unsaturated soil is presented in this paper.The model was developed under basic principles of movement of water and solute in soil under transient condition and overall consideration water flow:pesticide convection,diffusion, dispersion,sorption and degradation.The model was tested for the persistence and leaching of 1-(2-chlorobenzoyl)-3-(4-chlorophenyl)urea(CCU)using data from soil columns under laboratory conditions.The results of the test indicate that the modeling approach is simple and effective in describing movement and transformation of pesticides in soils.  相似文献

The influence of the nonionic surfactant Tween 80 on pentachlorophenol (PCP) oxidation catalyzed by horseradish peroxidase was studied. The surfactant was tested at concentrations below and above its critical micelle concentration (CMC). Enhancement of PCP removal was observed at sub-CMCs. The presence of Tween 80 in the reaction mixture reduced enzyme inactivation which occurred through a combination of free radical attack and sorption by precipitated products. A simple first-order model was able to simulate time profiles for enzyme inactivation in the presence or absence of Tween 80. At supra-CMCs, the surfactant caused noticeable reductions in PCP removal, presumably through micelle partitioning of PCP which precluded the hydrophobic PCP molecule from interacting with the enzyme.  相似文献

 以典型城市污水处理厂平流矩形沉淀池速度和浓度分布计算为例,利用涡量-流函数法建立控制方程,并以有限差分法中的控制容积法对方程进行了离散,求出速度分布场后,利用二维浓度迁移方程对沉淀池浓度分布进行了计算.通过与实验数据的对比,验证了方法的有效性与可行性.另外还对沉淀池数值模拟的应用进行了初步探索.  相似文献

Most research conducted on the concentration distribution of sediment in the sedimentation tank does not consider the role of the suction dredge. To analyze concentration distribution more accurately, a suspended sediment transportation model was constructed and the velocity field in the sedimentation tank was determined based on the influence of the suction dredge. An application model was then used to analyze the concentration distribution in the sedimentation tank when the suction dredge was fixed, with results showing that distribution was in accordance with theoretical analysis. The simulated value of the outlet concentration was similar to the experimental value, and the trends of the isoconcentration distribution curves, as well as the vertical distribution curves of the five monitoring sections acquired through simulations, were almost the same as curves acquired through experimentation. 运用计算流体力学软件FLUENT模拟了平流式沉淀池在不同进水口高度,进水挡板位置,颗粒密度和圆弧形扰流板位置下的流场、悬浮物的浓度场。从模拟结果的分析比较可以看出,在一定范围内改变沉淀池的进水口高度,对沉淀池的去除效果没有影响。挡板的淹没深度和颗粒的密度则对悬浮物的去除效率影响较大。挡板的水平位置只在一定范围内变化才能使沉淀池保持较为理想的去除效率。圆弧形扰流板的加设可以改变沉淀池内流态不均的现象,从而提高沉淀池的运行效率。  相似文献

针对江苏新纪元环保有限公司自主研发的上下全截面正方形沉淀澄清池进行水流运动模拟及分析。正方形沉淀澄清池的水力特性对其沉淀效果有很大影响,在沉淀池水力设计中应通过对池型以及各种几何参数的优化,使其池内回流区范围尽可能减小,并且尽量使池内垂直断面上流速均匀平稳,研究中主要利用模型模拟正方形沉淀澄清池在不同进水流速和不同挡板布置形式下的水流流场,经过分析比较出较为合理的沉淀池运行工况以及较为合适的挡板布置形式,进而提高沉淀池的运行效率。  相似文献

斜管沉淀池是指在沉淀区内设有斜管的沉淀池。在平流式或竖流式沉淀池的沉淀区内利用倾斜的平行管或平行管道分割成一系列浅层沉淀层,被处理的和沉降的沉泥在各沉淀浅层中相互运动并分离。根据其相互运动方向分为逆(异)向流、同向流和逆向流三种不同分离方式。每两块平行斜板间相当于一个很浅的沉淀池。辐流式沉淀池半桥式周边传动刮泥活性污泥法处理污水工艺过程中沉淀池的理想配套设备适用于一沉池或二沉池,主要功能是为去除沉淀池中沉淀的污泥以及水面表层的漂浮物。一般适用于大中池径沉淀池。辐流式沉淀池采用机械排泥,运行较好,设备较简单,排泥设备已有定型产品,沉淀性效果好,日处理量大,对水体搅动小,有利于悬浮物的去除。本研究通过掌握斜管沉淀池的构造功能及沉淀原理、通过改变运行因素来验证斜管沉淀池的处理效率。  相似文献
