Glyphosate-based herbicides are broad-spectrum pesticides widely used in the world, which is considered a highly safe pesticide due to their target specificity, but recently, there has been an ongoing controversy regarding their carcinogenicity and possible side effects of glyphosate on human health. Commercial glyphosate-based herbicides (GBHs) consist of declared active ingredient (glyphosate salts) and a number of formulants such as ethoxylated formulants (4130®, 3780®, and A-178®). The aim of our study is to investigate whether the toxicity of GBHs is related to formulants. The effects of GBHs on human health were studied at the cellular level based on their toxicity to liver, lungs and nerve tissue. The inhibitory toxicity to cell viability by GBHs was examined with cell-based systems using three human cell lines: HepG2, A549, and SH-SY5Y. Data obtained showed that all tested ethoxylated formulants and their mixtures with declared active ingredient glyphosate isopropylamine salt (GP) have significant inhibitory effect on cell proliferation, while the declared active ingredient has no significant toxicity. Our study demonstrates that the toxic effect of GBH is primarily due to the use of formulants. This result suggests that GP is relatively safe and a new approach for the assessment of toxicity should be made.  相似文献

Humic substances (HS) have a critical influence on the sorption of organic contaminants by soils and sediments. This paper describes investigations into the sorption behavior of three representative endocrine disruptors, bisphenol A (BPA), 17beta-estradiol (E2), and 17alpha-ethynylestradiol (EE2), onto sediments and HS extracted sediments using a batch technique. The organic carbon-normalized partition coefficients (K(oc)) for the extracted HS (K(oc)(hs)) were calculated, and the fluorescence spectra of the HS extraced from different sediment samples were gained using excitation/emission matrix (EEM). Particular attention was paid to the correlations between the fluorescence characteristics of HS and the log K(oc)(hs) of selected endocrine disruptors. The results show that the log K(oc)(hs) values range from 3.14 to 4.09 for BPA, from 3.47 to 4.33 for E2, and from 3.65 to 4.32 for EE2. Two characteristic excitation-emission peaks were observed for HS samples extracted from sediments. They are located at Ex/Em=250-260 nm/400-450 nm (peak alpha') and Ex/Em=310-330 nm/390-400 nm (peak alpha) respectively. The alpha' and alpha peak relative intensities I(alpha')/I(alpha) vary from 0.46 to 1.64 for different extracted HS samples. The similarity between fulvic acids (FA) Ex/Em pairs and those observed for HS indicates that FA is the predominant fraction of HS extracted from sediments. Moreover, the log K(oc)(hs) values of BPA, E2, and EE2 have a negative linear correlation to I(alpha')/I(alpha) values. Peak alpha is often attributed to relatively stable and high molecular weight aromatic fulvic-like matter. Therefore, the result presented here reveals that the abundance of aromatic rings in HS molecular structure plays a critical role in the sorption of selected endocrine disruptors.  相似文献

Isomer-specific data were investigated in order to identify the sources of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) in agricultural soils, including Fluvo-aquic and paddy soils, in the vicinity of a Chinese municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) plant. Homologue and isomer profiles of PCDD/Fs in soils were compared with those of potential sources, including combustion sources, i.e., MSWI flue gas and fly ash; and the impurities in agrochemicals, such as the pentachlorophenol (PCP), sodium pentachlorophenate (PCP-Na) and 1,3,5-trichloro-2-(4-nitrophenoxy) benzene (CNP). The results showed that the PCDD/F isomer profiles of combustion sources and agricultural soils were very similar, especially for PCDFs, although their homologue profiles varied, indicating that all the isomers within each homologue behave identically in the air and soil. Moreover, factor analysis of the isomer compositions among 33 soil samples revealed that the contamination of PCDD/Fs in agricultural soils near the MSWI plant were primarily influenced by the combustion sources, followed by the PCP/PCP-Na and CNP sources. This implication is consistent with our previous findings based on chemometric analysis of homologue profiles of soil and flue gas samples, and identifies PCP/PCP-Na as an additional important source of PCDD/Fs in the local area. This makes the similarities and differences of isomer profiles between Fluvo-aquic and paddy soils more explainable. It is, therefore, advisable to use isomer-specific data for PCDD/F source identifications where possible.  相似文献

一株无色杆菌属菌株对孔雀绿的脱色降解   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
从孔雀绿污染土壤中分离筛选出1株对孔雀绿染料有强脱色能力的菌株MGT3,根据其形态学特征和生理生化鉴定以及16S rDNA序列分析,初步鉴定为无色杆菌属(Achromobacter sp.)的菌株.在振荡培养条件下对该菌株的脱色反应条件进行了研究,结果表明,MGT3菌株的最适脱色pH为7,最适脱色温度为30℃,孔雀绿初始浓度小于50 mgL-1时有最佳脱色率,在最适脱色条件下脱色8 h,孔雀绿脱色率可达到90%以上,利用薄层层析法、紫外-可见分光光度计法、高效液相色谱法对孔雀绿脱色代谢产物进行了分析,结果表明,孔雀绿在脱色过程中被降解,生成了其他代谢产物.图8表1参26  相似文献

A simple but comprehensive model is developed to quantify N losses from urea applied to a near-trench paddy field, considering all the N-transformations such as urea hydrolysis, volatilization, nitrification, denitrification, and all the important transportations like runoff, lateral seepage, vertical leaching and crop uptake. Seasonal average data of field observations for three crop seasons were used for model calibration and validation, which showed that ammonia volatilization accounted for 26.5-29.4% of the applied N and N uptake by crop occupied 38.2-44.8%, while N losses via surface runoff, vertical leaching and lateral seepage varied from 5.6-7.7%, 4.0-4.9% to 5.0-5.3% of the applied N, respectively. These observed results were well predicted by our model, indicating that the model performed effectively at quantifying N losses via individual processes in a wide range of urea application rates and benefit for developing water and fertilizer management strategies for near-trench paddy fields.  相似文献

The combination of low-dose ozone with ultraviolet (UV) irradiation should be an option to give benefit to disinfection and reduce drawbacks of UV and ozone disinfection. However, less is known about the disinfection performance of UV and ozone (UV/ozone) coexposure and sequential UV-followed-by-ozone (UV- ozone) and ozone-followed-by-UV (ozone-UV) expo- sures. In this study, inactivation of E. coli and bacterioph- age MS2 by UV, ozone, UV/ozone coexposure, and sequential UV-ozone and ozone-UV exposures was investigated and compared. Synergistic effects of 0.5-0.9 log kill on E. coli inactivation, including increases in the rate and efficiency, were observed after the UV/ozone coexposure at ozone concentrations as low as 0.05 mg-L-1 in ultrapure water. The coexposure with 0.02-mg.L-1 ozone did not enhance the inactivation but repressed E. coli photoreactivation. Little enhancement on E. coli inactivation was found after the sequential UV-ozone or ozone-UV exposures. The synergistic effect on MS2 inactivation was less significant after the UV/ozone coexposure, and more significant after the sequential ozone-UV and UV-ozone exposures, which was 0.2 log kill for the former and 0.8 log kill for the latter two processes, at ozone dose of 0.1 mg. t-1 and UV dose of 8.55 mJ. cm 2 in ultrapure water. The synergistic effects on disinfection were also observed in tap water. These results show that the combination of UV and low-dose ozone is a promising technology for securing microbiological quality of water.  相似文献

研究温度90~450℃条件下静电除尘器的放电特性及除尘特性,分析温度、工作电压、烟气流速及颗粒浓度等关键参数对于颗粒静电脱除效率的影响.结果表明,当温度从90℃上升至450℃,在比收尘面积为46.5m2/(m3·s-1),粉尘初始浓度约为750mg/Nm3的工况下,颗粒脱除效率均可达到98%以上.随着电压升高,除尘效率不断提高,但其升高趋势逐渐变缓.在相同电压下,随着温度的上升,电晕电流显著增大,强化颗粒荷电,颗粒的脱除效率提高;而在相同电流下,高温下较低的空间场强使得颗粒的驱进速度减小,导致颗粒脱除效率下降.烟气流速提高降低了颗粒的脱除效率,PM1.0受烟气流速的影响较PM10更为明显.颗粒初始浓度的上升增强了颗粒的碰撞及团聚作用,在一定程度上有利于增强颗粒的脱除效果.  相似文献

综述了近年来国内外热脱附技术在修复多氯联苯(polychlorinated biphenyls,PCBs)污染土壤方面的研究进展。温度和停留时间是影响其脱附效率的最主要因素,另外脱附效果还受土壤性质以及载气、压力等其他因素的影响。氧气存在的条件下,脱附过程中会有呋喃(polychlorinated dibenzofurans,PCDFs)生成,导致整体毒性当量增加。PCBs的物理蒸发是其主要的脱附机制,同时伴随着脱氯和降解。协同热脱附通过添加改性剂,有效促进了PCBs的去除以及降解。冷凝,除尘,吸附一系列尾气处理用来降低尾气中PCBs的含量。文章最后给出了当前国内外的应用情况以及存在问题和今后的发展方向。  相似文献
