Experiments were performed in order to investigate the possibility for the development of catalysts for low-temperature selective
catalytic reduction (SCR) using municipal waste char and RDF byproduct. Physical and chemical activations, using water, and
HCl and KOH, were employed to increase the catalytic activities. The characteristics of the activated catalysts were investigated
using N2 adsorption–desorption and FT-IR. The catalysts activated chemically using basic treatment showed higher NO
x
removal efficiencies than those activated physically or chemically using acidic treatment. The de-NO
x
performance of the activated catalysts was dependent on the chemical properties, such as oxygen functional groups as well
as physical properties, such as specific surface area and pore volume. In order to investigate the effect of MnO
x
, which has been reported to be efficient for the removal of NO
x
in low-temperature SCR processes, the chemically activated catalyst was impregnated with manganese. The Mn-impregnated catalyst
had the highest NO
x

The aims of the present study were to determine the levels of bioaerosols including airborne culturable bacteria (total suspended bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, Staphylococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), and Gram-negative bacteria), fungi, endotoxin, and viruses (influenza A, influenza B, respiratory syncytial virus types A/B, parainfluenza virus types 1/2/3, metapnemovirus, and adenovirus) and their seasonal variations in indoor air of residential apartments. Of the total suspended bacteria cultured in an indoor environment, Staphylococcus was dominant and occupied 49.0 to 61.3 % of indoor air. Among Staphylococcus, S. aureus were detected in 100 % of households' indoor air ranging from 4 to 140 CFU/m3, and 66 % of households were positive for MRSA ranging from 2 to 80 CFU/m3. Staphylococcus and S. aureus concentrations correlated with indoor temperature (adjusted β: 0.4440 and 0.403, p?<?0.0001). Among respiratory viruses, adenovirus was detected in 14 (14 %) samples and influenza A virus was detected in 3 (3 %) samples regarding the indoor air of apartments. Adenovirus concentrations were generally higher in winter (mean concentration was 2,106 copies/m3) than in spring (mean concentration was 173 copies/m3), with concentrations ranging between 12 and 560 copies/m3. Also, a strong negative correlation between adenovirus concentrations and relative humidity in indoor air was observed (r?=??0.808, p?<?0.01). The main objective of this study is to develop an eco-friendly and a large recycling technique of flotation Tailings from korea (TK) from metal mines as construction materials such as admixtures for high-fluidity concrete (HFC). TK used in this study was obtained from the Korea Molybdenum Corporation in operation. TK was used as the alternative material to adjust flowability and viscosity of HFC in the form of powder agent which enables adjustment of concrete compressive strength. In this study, we have performed concrete rheological tests and concrete flowability tests to obtain the quality characteristics of TK for using as the admixture in producing HFC. The results indicated that the adequate mix ratio of cement to TK should be 8:2 (vol%). It is more effective to use the TK as admixture to control flowability, viscosity and strength of HFC than the normal concrete. It was found that TK could be recycled construction materials in bulk such as admixture for HFC, in terms of the economic and eco-friendly aspects. 相似文献

Catalytic pyrolysis of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) was investigated using various fly ash-derived silica–alumina catalysts
(FSAs). FSAs were prepared by a simple activation method that basically includes NaOH treatment of fly ash by a fusion method,
followed by an aging process. A series of LDPE pyrolysis experiments was conducted and the catalytic performance of FSAs was
assessed in terms of the degradation temperature and the simulated boiling point distribution of the liquid products. The
effects of synthesis conditions such as NaOH/fly ash weight ratio and aging time were examined by X-ray diffractometer (XRD),
Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area analyzer, and scanning electron microscope to clarify the controlling factors affecting
the catalytic activity. To obtain catalyst with high activity, it is necessary to produce sufficient silica and alumina species
that can be easily co-precipitated into solid acid catalyst by destruction of the fly ash structure and to optimize the activation
time for catalyst synthesis to prevent the transformation into inactive phases. The catalytic performance of FSA obtained

In this paper, an assessment method is proposed for ecodesign improvement options using global warming and economic performance indicators. A reduction in the GHG emissions in the entire life cycle stages of a product was chosen as the global warming performance of the product. The external cost which converts the external effect of global warming into a monetary value was chosen as the global warming performance indicator in order to measure the performance of the GHG reduction of the product. The life cycle cost (LCC) of the product was chosen as the economic performance indicator to measure the performance of the life cycle cost reduction of the product. Subsurface contamination by trichloroethene (TCE) was detected at a Michigan National Priorities List (NPL) site in 1982. The TCE plume resulted from the disposal of spent solvent and other chemicals at an industrial facility located in the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. TCE degradation products of three dichloroethene (DCE) isomers, vinyl chloride (VC) and ethene were present. The plume was depleted of oxygen and methanogenic at certain depths. Transects of the plume were sampled by slotted auger borings the year after the TCE plume was first discovered. Water samples were also taken from lake sediments to a depth of 12 m about 100 m offshore. Later samples were taken along the shoreline of the lake with a hand-driven probe. Later in 1998 water was taken from sediments about 3-m from the shoreline. The average concentration of each chemical and net apparent base coefficient between appropriate pairs of transects between the lower site and lakeshore were calculated. Loss rates were then calculated from an analytical solution of the two-dimensional advective-dispersive-reactive transport equation. Net apparent rate coefficients and a set of coupled reaction rate equations were used to extract the apparent loss coefficients. Long-term fate of the herbicide cinosulfuron in lysimeters planted with rice over four consecutive years 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
In order to elucidate the long-term fate of the sulfonylurea herbicide cinosulfuron, the 14C-labelled chemical was applied to a clay loam soil, encased in two lysimeters, 22 days after rice (Oryza sativa L.) transplanting, and rice plants were grown for four consecutive years. Throughout the experimental period, leaching through soil profiles, absorption and translocation by rice plants, and distribution of 14C by downward movement in the soil layers were clarified. The total volume of leachates collected through the lysimeter soil over the four years amounted to 168 and 146 L in lysimeters I and II, respectively. The leachates contained 2.43% and 2.99% of the originally applied 14C-radioactivity, corresponding to an average concentration of 0.29 and 0.41 microg/L as the cinosulfuron equivalent in lysimeters I and II, respectively. The total 14C-radioactivity translocated to rice plants in the third and fourth year was 0.69% and 0.60% (lysimeter I), and 1.02% and 0.84% (lysimeter II) of the 14C applied, respectively. Larger amounts of cinosulfuron equivalents (0.54-0.75%) remained in the straw in the fourth year than in any other parts. The 14C-radioactivities distributed down to a depth of 70 cm after four years were 56.71-57.52% of the 14C applied, indicating the continuous downward movement and degradation of cinosulfuron in soil. The non-extractable residues were more than 88% of the soil radioactivity and some 45-48% of them was incorporated into the humin fraction. The 14C-radioactivity partitioned into the aqueous phase was nearly 30% of the extractable 14C, suggesting strongly that cinosulfuron was degraded into some polar products during the experimental period. It was found out in a supplemental investigation that flooding and constant higher temperature enhanced mineralization of [14C]cinosulfuron to 14CO2 in soil, indicating the possibility of chemical hydrolysis and microbial degradation of the compound in the flooded lysimeter soil. 相似文献
