农业活动是大气颗粒物的重要来源之一.为了研究北京郊区农田大气颗粒物质量和离子成分的分布,探讨其来源,本研究使用8级串联撞击式采样器MOUDI采集了2004年夏季北京远郊菜地的大气颗粒物样品,测量了0.18~18μm粒径段颗粒物质量和水溶性无机离子的粒径分布.细粒子的主要离子成分是SO42-、NO3-和NH4+,与温度、湿度和光照等条件相关,推测主要来自农田释放的NH3与光化学生成的酸性物种的反应.细粒子中的K+可能来自植物的排放和生物质的燃烧.粗粒子中Ca2+、Mg2+、NO3-和SO42-可能主要来自土壤颗粒物通过机械过程进入大气,以及其后酸性物种和土壤颗粒物表面的化学反应.研究结果表明,施用的化肥和土壤可能是决定农田大气中颗粒物的重要因素,北京远郊菜地对大气颗粒物可能有着重要的贡献. 相似文献

A study has been carried out to assess the potential of using fallout plutonium (Pu), which originated from atmospheric nuclear-weapons tests, as a tool to investigate recent erosional processes within the lower Cotter water-supply catchment in the Australian Capital Territory. This catchment, which was predominantly pine plantation, was severely affected by a major bush fire in 2003. Accelerator mass spectrometry has been used to measure Pu in soil samples collected from a number of sites across the catchment. The results indicate that less than 1 cm of surface soil had been lost since the early 1960s over much of the catchment. Areas of more erodible soil have, however, lost 2-4 cm of topsoil, and a loss of ∼6 cm of soil was identified at one particular site. 相似文献

An 11-year lysimeter study was established to monitor the movement of Pu through vadose zone sediments. Sediment Pu concentrations as a function of depth indicated that some Pu moved upward from the buried source material. Subsequent numerical modeling suggested that the upward movement was largely the result of invading grasses taking up the Pu and translocating it upward. The objective of this study was to determine if the Pu of surface sediments originated from atmosphere fallout or from the buried lysimeter source material (weapons-grade Pu), providing additional evidence that plants were involved in the upward migration of Pu. The 240Pu/239Pu and 242Pu/239Pu atomic fraction ratios of the lysimeter surface sediments, as determined by Thermal Ionization Mass Spectroscopy (TIMS), were 0.063 and 0.00045, respectively; consistent with the signatures of the weapons-grade Pu. Our numerical simulations indicate that because plants create a large water flux, small concentrations over multiple years may result in a measurable accumulation of Pu on the ground surface. These results may have implications on the conceptual model for calculating risk associated with long-term stewardship and monitored natural attenuation management of Pu contaminated subsurface and surface sediments. 相似文献

乙酰化代谢物是磺胺类药物的重要代谢产物.为研究4种常见磺胺类药物及其乙酰化代谢物在污水厂中的去除机制,根据污水停留时间采集厦门某A2/O型工艺污水厂不同处理单元的污水和污泥样品,采用固相萃取-高效液相色谱串联质谱法检测目标化合物.结果显示,8种目标物中有6种在水体中被检测出,污泥中有5种目标物被检测出.计算总去除率及各个处理单元间的去除率,结果表明,磺胺二甲基嘧啶在污水厂中总去除率几乎为0,而其他5种化合物都有不同程度的去除,但不同目标物在各处理单元的去除率不同.利用质量平衡,分析各物质可能的去除机制,磺胺二甲基嘧啶可能去除机制为污泥吸附,磺胺嘧啶、磺胺甲基嘧啶和磺胺甲唑可能的去除机制均为生物降解. 相似文献

This paper presents the results of a study of a sludge subjected to the (ATAD) process – Autothermal Thermophilic Aerobic Digestion occurring in a two-stage installation operated in a municipal wastewater treatment plant in Olecko, Poland. The study of the sludge and the analysis of obtained results were conducted over 2011 and 2014. The subject of the study was a thickened sludge in an intermediate tank from which it was next transferred to facility reactors. The stabilization of processed sludge was evaluated analyzing the change in the dry mass (DS) content in the sludge. Measurements were carried out in thickened sludge samples and after the ATAD process. Collected results were then subjected to a statistical analysis and it was determined to which extent as resulted from the subject process the dry mass and the dry organic mass (VS) content was changing in the sludge. Also, it was analyzed how the oxygen chemical demand (COD) was changing. The dry mass content in the thickened sludge was from 60 g/l to 160 g/l. After the process, this amount was from 35 to 76 g/l. Similarly, the organic mass content in a dry sludge mass changed from initial values within a range of 44–135 g/l to 23–60 g/l after the ATAD process. Also, the organic substance content expressed as COD decreased from 80 to 467 g O2/l in a thickened sludge to 51–261 g O2/l in the sludge after the process. ABSTRACT: A groundwater quality modeling advisory system has been developed for the U.S. Air Force for use in investigating remediation alternatives for the cleanup of subsurface contamination. The system is capable of accounting for uncertainty, not only in the prediction of solute transport but also in the optimization of the remediation scheme through chance constraints. The system guides users in the selection of appropriate transport models through an algorithm independently tested with machine learning codes. An application to Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is presented for which different pump-and-treat strategies are considered: the results are evaluated in terms of the cumulative distribution of the contaminant concentration for each case and the tradeoff relationship between the cost of remediation and the probability that the remediation strategy exceeds an established maximum allowable contaminant concentration. 相似文献

ABSTRACT: A comparative study of ground water level predictions on hillside slopes using two models is presented. The models are a simplified mass balance model that has components for evapotran-spiration, recharge, and drainage; and a two-dimensional finite difference model that employs kriging to estimate soil parameters and accounts for non-uniform thickness of the soil layer. These models are representative of a wide range of modeling capabilities and are used to illustrate the sensitivity of ground water level predictions to the sophistication of the modeling techniques. The drainage and recharge components of the two models are evaluated and the importance of unsaturated flow in recharge computations is underscored. Piezometric observations in a small drainage depression on the slope of Kennel Creek Valley in Tongass National Forest, Alaska, were used to evaluate the two models. The results show that, although the predictions differ from the field observations, the simple physically-based mass balance model predicts the ground water levels as well as the two-dimensional model. It is suggested that caution should be exercised in using complex models to validate simpler models. 相似文献

In Procellariiformes, the parents guard the chick after it has attained homeothermy. This strategy may reduce the probability
that a small chick is taken by predators, but is costly as only one parent can forage at a time. The decision to leave the
chick may therefore be a compromise between the chick's vulnerability to predators, the body condition of the parent on the
nest and whether the foraging parent returns in time. We studied how the number of days that parents guarded the chick was
related to the body mass of the parent at the nest and the time the foraging parent spent at sea in the Antarctic petrel Thalassoica antarctica. We also examined how the body mass of the parent on the nest and the duration of the foraging trips influenced the chicks'
body condition at the end of the guarding period. When the foraging parent did not return to the nest in time to relieve its
mate, the number of days the parent on the nest kept guarding the chick was positively related to its body mass on arrival
in the colony. The number of days the foraging parent spent at sea was positively related to the body mass of its mate, but
those that returned in time had a shorter stay at sea relative to their mate's body mass than those that did not return before
their mate had left. Apparently, both the body mass of the parent at the nest and the ability of the foraging parent to adjust
its stay at sea to the mate's body mass is important for the number of days the parents guard the chick and also the chick's
body condition at this point. The inability to return to the nest before the mate has left may be the result of needing a
minimum amount of time at sea to find food, or because some parents having low foraging success and therefore prolong their
stay at sea.
