Introduction: Vehicular accidents at horizontal curves are over-represented compared to accidents that occur at tangent sections. Investigations have been conducted aimed at identifying the major causes that result in higher accident risk, both in terms of severity and rate, at curved road sections. Excessive or abrupt changes in speeding and improper vertical position are cited as major factors of lane departure, whereas other factors (either human or environmental) have also been documented. However, most research involves 4-wheel vehicles rather than other modes of transport that behave differently. More specifically, while motorcyclist fatalities occur more frequently than passenger vehicles, when accounting for vehicle distance traveled only a limited number of research studies address their behavior at curved road sections. Method: This paper presents the findings of field operational tests carried out by motorcyclists along two-lane rural roads with a wide range of horizontal curves using an instrumented motorcycle. Key objectives of the research included the conditions under which the motorcyclists differentiate their trajectory in regards to the direction of the horizontal curves, the correlation between the trajectory and the geometry of the road, and the impact of the lighting conditions on riders’ behavior. Results: The research showed that motorcyclists tend to ride closer to the centerline of the road, neglect the hazards associated with dim lighting conditions, and maintain constant speed in the left hand and the right-hand horizontal curves.  相似文献

The organochlorine pesticide p,p′-Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) was widely used in the early 1960s-70s for vector control in tropical and subtropical areas of South America. Due to its persistence, DDT has a high potential to bioaccumulate in the food chain and living organisms and is a major public health concern, especially in South America.The main purpose of the present study was to investigate predictors of serum and adipose tissue concentrations of p,p′-DDT and its main metabolite, p,p′-dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene (p,p′-DDE), in an adult cohort (n = 112) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, using multiple linear regression models. These models explained 29.3-47.8% of the variability in adipose tissue concentrations of p,p′-DDT and p,p′-DDE, respectively, and 32.9-47.0% of that in serum. Main exposure predictors included age, occupational class, residence, diet, smoking habit, and accumulated breastfeeding time.This is one of the few studies to explore predictors of human exposure to these chemicals using a multivariate approach in a South American population. Results show that predictors of human exposure to p,p′-DDT and p,p′-DDE in Santa Cruz de la Sierra may diverge from those found in other populations of the world, due to particular sociodemographic and lifestyle characteristics of this region.  相似文献

通过构建评价指标体系,并基于均方差决策方法确立指标权重,构建综合承载力评价模型,对辽宁省14个地级市综合承载力展开分析。结果表明,研究区内资源、环境承载力供需指数比普遍偏低,14个地级市中环境承载力供需指数比大于1的比例不足10%,资源承载力比例不足30%。不同城市各要素承载力及综合承载力均存在显著差异,其中,大连、沈阳综合承载力最高,本溪、丹东资源承载力最高,辽阳、盘锦环境承载力较低,沈阳和大连经济承载力较高,各城市社会承载力总体较高。此外,资源与经济承载力对研究区城市综合承载力的影响最大,但是研究区城市发展的限制性因素是环境,未来应着重根据各市环境短板确定未来严格的环境保护目标与管理体制,有效提升城市环境承载力。  相似文献

Most current alarm systems used in chemical installations show poor performance due to alarm flooding. This study focuses on alarm management systems optimization using the deviation propagation relationship hidden in the hazard and operability study (HAZOP) report, which can be transformed into a critical information source for alarm optimization management. More concretely, this means matching the alarm tag number with the process deviations in the deviation column, possible cause column, and consequence column. Furthermore, a backtracking method and a reasoning method were established to identify the initial alarm and associated alarms. Besides, a root fault diagnosis was carried out. A method of detecting hardware faults and unreasonable alarm thresholds is established using alarm causality corresponding to the deviation causality and associated alarm generation-skipping tracing method. According to the severity of the consequence corresponding to the deviation, a determined alarm priority method is constructed. The results show that the deviation propagation relationship in the HAZOP report is clear, and the topological relationship is easy to build based on the deviation propagation relationship. With comprehensive and in-depth HAZOP analysis reports in China, the alarm management optimization technology based on adapted HAZOP reports shows good prospects for application and promotion.  相似文献

报道了广州部分垃圾转运站恶臭指标的检测结果.发现国家标准(GB14554-1993)中的单项污染物指标的测定值大多远低于标准限值,而综合指标臭气浓度普遍超标,两类指标间存在严重不符.利用SAS统计软件综合分析各指标的检测数据,结果表明,垃圾转运站臭气中恶臭指标的含量存在较大的变异,且在垃圾站内的变异程度更大;恶臭单项指标在垃圾站内和垃圾站边界点的测定均值问无显著差异;臭气浓度和恶臭单项指标整体间可能存在一定的线性关系,但和某个具体的恶臭指标的线性相关性并不显著.  相似文献

中国大陆足迹家族的环境库兹涅茨曲线分析   总被引:4,自引:3,他引:1  
论文选取我国1987—2013年土地利用、温室气体排放和用水量数据,运用投入产出法计算足迹家族中的土地足迹、碳足迹和水足迹,采用纵横向拉开档次法进行足迹整合,将整合得到的足迹综合指数与足迹家族各项指标取对数后进行环境库兹涅茨曲线分析。计算结果表明:足迹综合指数从1987年的2.274 2增长到2013年的3.816 9,与人均GDP呈平缓型曲线协同增长关系,说明生态占用持续增加,呈现资源利用的不可持续性;土地足迹、碳足迹与水足迹的环境库兹涅茨曲线分别呈∽型、协同增长型以及平稳型,说明我国城镇化正在进入转型期,碳排放仍处于上升阶段,水资源可持续性不乐观,指标的选取影响环境库兹涅茨曲线形态。  相似文献

本文研究了惠州市市区环境空气监测中氮氧化物、二氧化硫的现场空白值与室内空白值的差异,得出了二氧化硫测定的两种空白值相差无几,氮氧化物测定的两种空白值相差较显著的结论。提出了在计算环境空气氮氧化物浓度时,扣除现场空白值是消除分析误差的一个不可忽视的环节。讨论了现场空白值受环境条件(气温、光照强度等)影响的情况  相似文献
