Classification of Fire Insurance Rate Based on Statistics and Credibility Theory

Firstly,the main factors affecting building fire insurance rates were determined through investigation and research.Then,the classifying method for fire insurance rates based on statistics and credibility theories was introduced in detail.By taking the eastern coast regions of Massachusetts in America as an example,the application of this method was illustrated.Finally,an overall analysis on the advantages and disadvantages of this method was made with consideration on practical problems,which provides theoretical and methodological guides for the further study of building fire insurance rate-making in China.
