| Abstract: | This paper carries out a series of tests of physical and mechanical properties of Malan loess in the section from Zichang County to Yongping Town of West-East Gas Pipeline.It analyzes the basic characteristics of loess and,by using 2Bar volume pressure plate,studies the matric suction and volume water content of unsaturated loess and obtains the soil-water characteristic curve(SWCC).Equations of Gardner,Fredlund and Xing and Van Genuchten are used to fit the experimental data respectively and obtain the fit... |
