Structure model of assess- ment index system was then proposed. And, calculation and determination of various indices, with their weights, were also proposed. In conclusion, index system of debris flow loss assessment was established, consisting of the goal hierarchy in terms of hazard degree, the rule hierarchy in terms of economical loss and social and environmental impaction, and the index hierarchy in terms of as- sessing factors and indices.
