黄土高原丘陵沟壑区小城镇建设的生态经济学意义及其特点

Eco-economic significance and characteristics of township construction in hilly gullied Loess Plateau

Town construction in the hilly gullied Loess Plateau lags far behind the need of the economic development in the rural areas.With the execution of the"Grain for Green"act,readjustment of industrial structure and new national investment policy for the West,and the resultant appearance of over-surplus labor force,chances of building up towns in the region becomes good.Township construction can not only enable promotion and acceleration of regional industrial structure adjustment,alleviaton of pressure from the growing population on land,restoration and protection of ecological environment of subwatersheds,but also improve local infrastructure as well as commodity circulation,strengthen economic links between the subwatersheds and the outside.The town construction in the hilly gullied Loess Plateau should be characterized by being based on subwatersheds,being pocket in size,relying for a long period of time on machining-and-manufacturing-dominated industry, and building up central towns well linked to small towns around.
