Discussion on Construction of Environmental Information Digital Library in Heilongjiang Province

This paper summarized the significance of including environmental information in digital libraries and the status of digital libraries in the informationization process.The development of digital library and the basic technology system were described,while the international and domestic evolution of digital library was compared.Based on the characteristics of environmental protection industry and current environmental protection information,the feasibility of constructing Heilongjiang Provincial Environmental Information Digital Library was demonstrated.The principle,overall targets and structure of building an environmental information digital library in Heilongjiang Province were depicted.At last,the conception of establishing this library was put forward.
