| Abstract: | By comparing the reactions of the halomethylene standards with potassium thioto-sylate (1), sodium toluenesulfinate (2) and potassium salt of tosylhydrazinecarbodithioic acid (3) respectively, it is found that compound 3 is the most active. This group was grafted on polystyrene beads through three steps : chlorosulfonation to get polystyryl-sulfonyl chloride (4), then resin 4 reacted with hydrazine to obtain polystyryl-sulfonylhydrazine (5), which was treated with carbon disulfide in presence of base to prepare the resin of salt of polystyrylsulfonylhydrazinecarbodithioic acid (6). The initial results of it's ability of removing halomethylene compounds in static state is reported. |
