| Abstract: | This paper summarizes the research kinetics of reactions of calcium hydroxide with sulfur dioxide in a humid atmosphere. In view of the fact that basically no reaction occurs under dry condition , it is considered to be taken place in the water film, in the form of ionic reactions. A reaction rate equation is established. By regression of experimental data, the kinetic parameters were obtained. Calcium conversions calculated by use of the rate equation correspond well with the experimental data, showing that the water film ionic reaction model describes well the reaction mechanism of calcium hydroxide with sulfur dioxide humid condition. |
