| Abstract: | The paper introduces the technology by using calcium carbide sludge to neutralize the washdown waste water from alloy steel pickling and by using GORE TEX membrane liquid fliter to remove the metallic hydroxide deposit and residue from the waste water.The filter from GORE filter has been reused for washdown water in the pickling process.The technology is characterised by its simplicity,low land requirement,easy operation and low water consumption. |
