| 摘 要： | <正> 1985年8月23日20~h41~m54~s在新疆乌恰县南、东径39.4°,北纬75.2°发生一次7.4级强烈地震,这是继1976年8月4日四川松潘7.2级地震后的又一次大于7级的强震,其间相隔了9年。7.4级地震发生前4小时,该地曾发生了一次5.1级前震,由于该地平时小震频繁,没有引起人们注意。主震发生后,笔者于8月26日前往灾区考察,途经距震中约五百公里的阿克苏时,该地居民反映,震时强烈有感。

AN INVESTIGATION ON WUQIA EARTHQUAKE(M=7.4), XINJIANG |

| Abstract: | A strong earthquake with magnitude of 7.4 took place in Wuqia,Xinjiang on Aug. 23, 1985. The epicenter is located in the intersectionof several fracture systems, and is geotectonically complicated. The maindamaged areas were in Wuqia county and Wupaer village of Shufu coun-ty with an intensity up to IX. Landsliding, surface fissuring, liquifyingof sand foundation, shaking and moving of the ground gravels, etc werehappened. Other damaged areas were located mainly in the lowlands,where younger sedimants and are developed while the intensities are gene-rally lower at dry Gobi deserts. |
