| Abstract: | The present paper summarizes the major environmental accidents in China during June to September in the year 2001. These accidents are classified into six categories (Tables 1~6), i.e. dust storm, pollution accident, landslide and mud-rock flow accident, insect pest, natural calamity, and other accidents. Total 8, 8, 28, 3, 51, and 7 major events with their data, place, and the accident nature are reported for the dust storm, pollution accident, landslide and mud-rock flow accident, insect pest, natural calamity, and other accidents respectively. Sources for the 105 events are also listed. |
