Study on Application of Spectrophotometry in Rapid Monitoring of Chemical Oxygen Demand

Based on analysis study, the paper established spectrophotometry to determine Chemical oxygen demand (COD). Reflux time was shorten from two hours to fifteen minutes and spectrophtometry was in place of iodimetric method. Comparing with the standard method, spectrophotometry had many advantages, such as simple operation and rapid monitoring. Using this method, we determined nine kinds of actual water samples, There was no significance discrimination.
