With the constant enlargement of the city size, the influence and danger of the land subsidene are paid closeattention to by the government department, which invests a large amount of fund to use for preventing the land subsidenceevery year. This text took Shanghai as an example, introduced the danger of the land subsidence, and existing preventivemeasure, put forward new idea that waste water was reused for preventing land subsidence. The idea includes two kinds ofmethods : First, supplying the ground water, namely the sewage treated is reinjected to replenish the groundwater; Second,reducing the exploitation of the ground water, namely sewage treated reuse to replace some tap water , so can reduce theextraction of the groundwater .
