Challenges and Policies for Sustainable Development of Northwest Region

After analyzing the social economic situation and the natural conditions of Northwest Region, the paper addresses the major challenges that deserve attention in achieving sustainable development of the region, focusing on the aspects of resources and environment. Pertaining to these challenges, recommendations are made on sustainability oriented policies concerning resources and environment.
