| Abstract: | Through disaster loss analysis of Wenchuan earthquake this article explains necessity of earthquake resistance appraisal and strengthering of concrete structure in practical application. Basic rule and method for appraising earthquake resistance capacity of existing buildings were described in detail. Based on this the rules and regulations on strengthening techniques of concrete structure and their application at home and abroad were introduced emphatically. |
