江苏十大地质遗迹评述

通过对江苏省地质遗迹的详细调查，选出了江苏十大地质遗迹，即：宁镇山脉岩石地层建组层型剖面群，南京汤山古人类遗址及洞穴群，连云港—东海超高压变质带及科学深钻，南京六合火山群、雨花石群、石柱林群，溧阳上黄水母山高级灵长类及古哺乳动物化石遗址，泗州城地质灾害遗址，南京江宁娘娘山破火山口与碱性火山杂岩体，茅山薄皮构造—飞来峰，盐城海岸带变迁及湿地，太湖及周边地质遗迹。这些地质遗迹均具很高的科学价值、美学价值和稀有性，应加强保护，在保护中加以开发。

Ten major geologic relics in Jiangsu province

By a throughout investigation of geologic relics of Jiangsu Province, ten major geologic relics have been selected: a group of stratotype sections for lithostratigraphic formation in Ningzhen Mountain Chain; a cave cluster of paleoanthropological relics of Tangshan ,Nanjing; super high pressure metamorphic zone and super deep continental scientific drilling of Lianyungang-Donghai; volcano cluster,rock column forests and Yuhua gravels of Luhe, Nanjing; fossil relics of high-level primates and paleo-mammals at Shuimu Mountain, Shanghuang, Liyang county; geologic hazard relics in Sizhou county; Niangniangshan caldera and alkali volcanic complex in Jiangning county, Nanjing; thin-skinned structure-klippe of Maoshan Mountain; coast-line changing and marsh of Yancheng city; geologic heritage of Taihu Lake and its periphery. All of them are rare and of high scientific and aesthetic value, and should be put under intensive protection and be developed under protection.
