Abstract:Using the model of the acidification process of rain below the cloud, the effects of aerosol on ion components in rain water (H+,SO_4~2-, NO3- and NH4+) are investigated. The results show that aerosol has either acidification or al-kalization effects on rain as its physical and chemical characteristics are different. Generally the effects of aerosol on the H+, NO3-, NH4+ in rain water are important and can't be neglected.There is some contribution of SO_4~2-. According to the observation, the effects and contribution of aerosol on rain in Chongqing and Beijing are calculated and analysed.
