| Abstract: | Application of phosphatic fertilizer at large doses accentuated the zinc deficiency symptom and decreased the grain yield of rice grown on secondary calcareoussoil. High P levels did not decrease the content of soil available zinc but affected thetranslocation of zinc in plant, whereas this had little effect on zinc content of rice leaves.Phosphorus/zinc imbalance causing zinc inactivation in plant was the main reason for inducing zinc deficiency. |
