| Abstract: | A rotifer survey was conducted in 1985-1986 in the Yanghe Reservoir, Hebei province.There were 36 species rotifers observed and 16 of them belonged to the common species. Asplauchna priodonta and Polyarthra trigla were dominant species. They contributed 68.2 percent of the whole rotifer population.
The horizontal distribution of rotifers and diuration of dominant species was studied in the Yanghe Reservoir. The water quality of the Yanghe Reservoir was assessed by using data of rotifer community structure through the indicator method, biotic index and species diversity. In the meantime, another evaluation of water quality was carried out by using physical-chemical index. The results of the two evaluation were the same. |
