Abstract:
Urbanization has caused serious damage to the groundwater quality in many areas.The study on the da-mage mechanism and its main factors can provide some references for the development,protection and restoration of urban groundwater resources.Taking Yongcheng city of Henan Province as an example,based on the comparative analysis of field survey sampling data and historical data,this paper uses a variety of methods to comprehensively study the mechanism and main influencing factors of urbanization on shallow groundwater quality.The results show that with the development of urbanization,the chemical composition of shallow groundwater has become more complex,which is mainly caused by the increase of NO-3 from agricultural activities in the early stage of urbanization and by the one of SO42- from industrial and mining waste water in the rapid development stage.Therefore,for the shallow groundwater,different stages show different characteristics resulting from different factors;different mea-sures on prevention and control should be taken according to the urbanization development.
