工科学生工程安全素质培养的探索与实践

Exploration on the Cultivation of Safety Quality for Engineering Students

The social profession orientations for engineering students in universities is to become an engineer whose major task is to design, carry out and manage projects; those conducts have a crucial effect on the safety of projects. With the development of modern engineering towards large scale, integration and complication, engineering safety has become a very important problem that man faces. The key to solve it is to strengthen and improve engineering education in universities, especially to devote to engineering students' cultivation of safety quality in engineering. In order to satisfy the various social demands for engineering talents, different universities must display their own distinctive features according to their superior majors and serving fields. The cultivation of engineering students in Hunan University of Science and Technology has achieved satisfactory results. In cultivation purpose, it emphasizes the requirements for safety quality in engineering; in cultivation content, it strengthens the impartation of knowledge in engineering safety; and in cultivation method, it puts emphasis on the training of engineering safety skills.
