Brief Introduction of Cyclic Salt Spray Standard Method

Cyclic salt spray test is a test method which has been widely applied in recent years. Compared with the traditional salt spray test, it has a better correlation with the real environment. The standard cyclic salt spray corrosion test methods are introduced in this paper, including standard methods for coating materials, metal and alloy, electric and electronic products, and automotive materials, etc., and the characteristics of each method are analyzed. The several problems which should be noticed in the test are also introduced.
