| Abstract: | This paper introduces a damage and economic loss evaluation of the M6.4 Baotou Westearthquake in 1996. According to earthquake damage evaluation experience with Baotou City, principles and methods to evaluate earthquake damage in large industrialized city and to assess industrial equipments, instruments and meters are presented. At the sametime the problems that should be solved in evaluation of earthquake damage in large industrialized city are investigated. |
