HYDROLIZATION OF α—NAPHTHOL—6, 8—DISULFONIC ACID

The aci—catalyst hydrolysis kinetics of α—naphthol—6,8—disulfonic acid (G acid) under 100—130℃ was determined in this paper.The α—naphthol—G—sulfonic acid (S acid) was only one product form this rcaction.The reaction rate of hydrolysis of α—sulfonic acid group was faster than that of β—sulfohic acid group.For kinetics of tis hydrolytic elecomposition,the reaction was one order and the rate constant and activation energe of this reaction were obtained from this research, The results of this paper can be used to eliminate the loss of the product under the procession of produc- tion of G acid.
