三峡库区水土保持与生态环境改善

介绍了三峡库区水土流失现象，分析了水土流失发生的原因，阐述了水土流失对库区生态环境的影响。主要表现在：破坏土地资源，淤毁水利工程、抬高河床，加强洪旱等灾害，污染水资源。

SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION AND IMPROVING ECOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT IN THE THREE GORGE RESERVOIR AREA

In this paper, the natural condition, socio economic situation and the current situation of soil erosin in the Three-Gorge reservoir area are introduced. The cause of soil erosion is analyzed. The influence of soil erosion upon the ecological environment is described, which is mainly as follows: destroying the soil resources, silting up water conservancy projects, raising the riverbeds and the bottom of reservoirs, aggravating the flood and drought disasters, and polluting water resources. This paper puts forward the idea that soil erosion is the important reason of the deterioration of ecological environment, and the soil and water conservation is the basic measure for resolving the ecological environment problem. Since 1989, the major soil erosion control project in the area has been carried out; remarkable success has been achieved in the aspect of controlling soil erosion, rescuing soil resources, adjusting land utilization structure, raising environment capacity etc . Countermeasures have been pointed out to deal with the problems at present in this area.
