Abstract:The interpretations of international law vary according to its history and context. Rethinking the concept of international aggression, based on the historical evolution of international law and the teleology that moves the United Nations, it is possible to interpret the environment not only as a cause and effect of aggression, but also as a weapon. This article explores the evolution of international environmental law and the recognition that deliberate harm to the environment during acts of aggression are now considered potentially illegal actions against populations and their economic security.
