Abstract: | The concentrations of eight metals (Al, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb) in snow from the island of Montréal were determined in quantities of nanogram per gram using an atomic absorption graphite furnace. An overall precision of 10% was achieved for all elements. Enrichment factors calculated indicated that Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb are most probably anthropogenically derived. |
