| Abstract: | The problems in the use of instruments for deformation and strain observations with long sensor elements are pointed out. The technical innovation introduced during the period of the Ninth Five-Year Plan to improve their operation and the results achieved are described. Constructive suggestions are offered on the technical innovations which should be made during the Tenth Five-Year Plan for their further improvement. |
