STUDY ON TWO METHODS FOR STARTING UASB DURING THE TREATMENT OF CHLOROMYCETIN WASTEWATER |

Abstract: | Two methods to start up the upflow anaerobic sludge blanket bed (UASB) reactor were investigated. The results showed that the both methods were suitable for starting up a UASB reactor. By using the two methods, the start-up time of the reactor with mixed wastewater could be decreased by 23% compared with chloromycetin wastewater directly. Whichever method can be applied depends on the real situations. |
