| Abstract: | According to the features of grottoes, the necessity of earthquake disaster mitigation of grottoes in preservation of cultural relics is emphasized. It is pointed out that, for earthquake resistance and disaster mitigation of grottoes, three aspects should be considered, namely, seismic safety evaluation, analysis of seismic stability of grottoes and engineering measures. In addition, some key problems are discussed. |
