Study on the characteristics of oil depot fire and fire fighting tactics

Over the past ten years, the single pot area of oil tank is more than before . There is a great increase than 2000 AD before about the number of fire and explosion. Fire and explosion bring large loss, hard fighting, and heavy pollution. By analyzing 4 depot fire cases in recent years，It was found that the large area of fire burning , high burning calorific value, serious oil tank deformation, the complex scene of the fire, the difficult surpression are the scene features of depot fire. Sufficient first time fire fighting force, well equipment, proper tactics, combat support in the first contact are the main reasons for the success. Study on the characteristics of large oil depot fire extinguishing and tactics of large oil depot fire fighting field, analyzing existing problems and giving some suggest to large oil depot fire fighting and rescue site are of great value and significance to reduce the heavy losses caused by the oil depot fire accident.
