Abstract:In order to explore the feasibility of using the residue as one kind of cement active admixture from the acid leaching process with the stone coal ash for the vanadium extraction,, experiments were performed to investigate the impact of the residue mixed amount on the cement performance. The physicochemical characteristics of the residue were analyzed to design the reasonable residue proportion. The physical examination of cement samples were evaluated with the different residue proportion. The experimental results showed that the residue could be used as a kind of active cement admixture. It could be used alone as the active cement admixture with the mixed proportion of the residue between 25%-40%. While the residue was used alone or mixed with the stone coal ash as cement active admixture, the cement samples could meet with the composite portland cement demand in the Standard of Common Portland Cement (GB175-2007) and the cement demand of 32.5R strength grade. The strength of the cement samples presented decreasing trend with the increase of the residue proportion. The residue proportion had greater effect on the cement compressive strength than the cement flexural strength, while its impact on the late strength was more than that on the early strength.
