长江河口越江工程在上海港建设中的重要作用

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CROSSING-YANGTZE RIVER MOUTH ENGINEERING IN THE SHANGHAI PORT CONXTRUCTION

This paper discusses the crossing-Yangtze river engineering,which will link Shanghai,Chongming and Haimen of Jiangsu together by buiding bridges and tunners over/underYangtze river mouth.Not only will this engineering open the highway along the Easterncoast,promote the regional economy, and bring the regional superiority of Chongming islandinto full play,but also it will play an important role in the construction of Shanghai Port.The expansion of Shanghai Port is analysed in detail,based on that the estuarine sandislands will provide deep water coastline or Shanghai new port construction after thecompletion of crossing-river engineening.The assumption of buiding artificial island oneastern tidal flat of Hengsa is also brought up according to the suggestion of deep waterwayof Yangtze river mouth. Finally,the personal ideas are brought forward through contrastingand analysing the several crossing-river engineering plans.
