| Abstract: | This paper explains the effects of federal and provincial taxes and royalties on the choice of mine life, mine size, reserve volumes and ore grades for copper deposits in British Columbia. The model described in the paper attempts to spell out some of the complicated interplay of geological, financial, and fiscal factors affecting mine development decisions. |
