Abstract:The mathematical models (For steady state heat transfer) which describe the self heating process of the solid powders around a working power line have been established. Then, the self heating behaviour of the powders was discussed by means of the numerical solutions of the models. Critical igniting conditions for the powders with and without inner heat sources were compared using a typical coal powder, which shows that the powders trending to self heationg around the line are very easy to ignite spontaneously.
