Approach to the Intelligent Vehicle to Improve Traffic Safety

The necessity of the intelligent vehicle development to improve the traffic safety and its current development trends in industrialized countries are reviewed indicating that the development of the intelligent vehicle is very promising. Moreover, the structure of the intelligent vehicle based on pattern recognition and some advantages of the pattern recognition with neural networks are introduced. Finally, its latest goal and perspective are discussed.
