| Abstract: | A new fire detection method, BP networks based image fire detection method, is presented in this paper. Shape changing characteristics of flames in early stage of fires, abstracted by means of digital image processing, are applied as the criterion of fire detection. BP networks is used for the final decision making. As shown in experimental results, the new method has more reliability and fault toleration ability compared with traditional method. |
