跨世纪江苏沿江地区产业结构研究

江苏沿江地区包括南京、无锡、苏州、常州、镇江、南通、扬州、泰州八市，社会经济发达，人口和城镇密集，是长江三角洲地区的重要组成部分、江苏省经济发展最重要的地区之一。通过对该地区产业结构现状、区位优势条件物社会经济基础的分析，拽出在经济全球化和我国开放格局下本地区产业结构重组与升级所面临的机遇，及地区矿产资源缺乏、自然条件相似、产业结构趋同等不足。提出该地区跨世纪区域产业结构的发展战略是在维持第一产业

STUDY ON UPGRADE AND SHIFT OF THE INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURE OF THE JIANGSU AREA IN THE YANGTZE RIVER DELTA

Jiangsu area in the Yangtze River Delta includes Nanjing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou, Zhenjiang, Nantong, Yangzhou and Taizhou; the area which is the important part of the Yangtze River Delta and one of the most essential region to Jiangsu Province's economic development. Through analysis on the status of industrial structure, location predominance and social and economical conditions of the area, this paper points out opportunities for and challenges to the upgrade and shift of industrial structure under the economic globalization and China's open situation as well as some disadvantages such as the shortage of resources, monotonous natural conditions and the similitude of the industrial structure. Then the trend of the regional industrial structure and its development strategy are given. The authors propose that in order to raise the regional industrial structure into a high stage, the second industry should be upgraded and the proportion of the third industry in GDP be improved along with the maintenance of its stable increase in the first industry and its dominance in the second industry. Further, this article especially emphasizes the significance of the high-tech industry to the development of the area's economy, hence the establishment of the base of research and innovation.
