The current work expounds the necessity of the construction of the prefecture level air automatic monitoring multi parameter station (super station). The construction thoughts was put forward as including overall consideration, phased implementation, and taking into account both the key points and the general points. The principle of selection the station location was introduced. It points out that the super station construction should aim to routine surveillance, haze monitoring, photochemical smog monitoring, three dimensional monitoring and source analytical monitoring, implement quality control and quality assurance measures, and set the data acquisition and display platform, to meet the requirements of the compound air pollution monitoring.
