Analysis of Railway Enterprises Developing Carbon Assets Project

On the basis of summarizing the development status of international and domestic carbon trading markets, this paper analyzes the development of carbon assets of enterprises from two aspects: the ways of obtaining carbon assets and the basis of carbon trading. This paper discusses the necessity and feasibility for railway enterprises to carry out carbon asset projects. It holds that the development of a unified carbon market in China creates conditions for the railway system to develop carbon assets. The railway system has great potential for carbon asset development. The railway system-related carbon asset development methodology has become more mature. The reform provides assistance for the development of railway carbon assets, and the technological innovation provides support for the development of railway carbon assets. Furthermore, it puts forward the problems and suggestions to be solved by railway enterprises in developing carbon asset projects.
