Current Damage Situation of Railway Operation Tunnels and Their Inspection and Evaluation

The present damage situation of railway operation tunnels is very serious, sometimes they even threaten the traffic safety of the trains passing through the tunnel. It is necessary to adopt some kinds of inspection methods to evaluate the situation of the tunnels. The information gained from the inspection could provide appropriate criteria for regular maintenance and necessary rehabilitation. In this way, a complete set of technique from routine inspection, regular maintenance, and control of the damages could be formed. The operation and management level of railway tunnels could be greatly raised.
