| Abstract: | Small dams are numerous and widely distributed, which are difficult in their management. The basic criteria, main contents, and the choice of management schemes of the safety management policy of private owned dams in developed countries are studied. At the transition period of dam property to the market in China, some suggestions for safety management are made. |
